It sucks the Cheech won't be going, but I kind of expected that. There had been lots of talk about him not having some solid rest for a while now, and they want him to be ready for next season.

Vela is a different story. This is the second time that mofo does this shit. He doesn't want to be called up for the Olympics, upcoming friendlies, nor the qualifiers. Fack him. We need players who love el tri and who WANT to play their asses off for their country.

Memo it seems won't be going, so Corona should be the replacement.

Davila should replace Vela, while Aldo replaces Cheech.

What about Pablo Barrera or Angel Reyna as a refuerzo? I know Barrera's out of shape but so is Gio. Angel Reyna had a great season.

We are really weak at Right back as well.

The best Mexican RB is a U-23 so that's all we've got.

jimenez isnt on the toulon roster though, and tena said that 15 will be picked out of that roster + jona and gio + 3 overage players no?

Maybe they'll try Mier at RB during the tournament.

I think Jimenez will still be included, but they are going to be using him in the upcoming senior team friendlies. Jimenez is pretty much all we have for RB, so he will have to play for the Senior and Olympic teams.

Between Peralta & Aldo, I think Aldo is the "better fit" for this team. He is better in the air than Peralta and is dangerous in the box when crosses are in the area.

I wouldn't mind Peralta though.

I agree about Aldo, and Vela/Gio/Jonathan wouldnt take an overage spot.

Peralta has the advantage that he's already played with the Sub-23 last year in both Copa America & Panamericanos. so i wouldn't be surprised if Tena/Chepo take him over Aldo. though i think Aldo is a much better player.

Yeah, Peralta is more familiar with the players on the team and that's maybe the deciding factor for him getting picked over Aldo.
