I think San Jose is actually a pretty improved team and with the Revs having no real forwards to start the game I think we lose this one. Hope I am wrong.

I think I'd probably go with 1 forward
[LINEUP-4-5-1]Brettschneider, Cardenas, Rowe, Joseph, Fielhaber, Simms, Barnes, Soares, Lozano, Alston, Reis[/LINEUP-4-5-1]
    2-1 SJ

I'm thinking Fagundez gets the start at forward.

It would be a bold move, just considering his age. But has anyone else shown as much as he has?

I'm not even sure you have that much of a choice now.

    I hope you are too...

I'm banking on at least 10 points after 5 games. The only way I'll be happy!!

So this better be their first win...a tie or loss is failure in my book...

With all the talk of "accountability" we better see some results..that's all I'm saying.

After 17 years and 3-4 years of rebuilding since the days of Twellman, Deuce, Noonan, and Rally...Revs fans DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY...well, it's time for this Org. to put their money where their mouth is...

Ball is in their third of the pitch..!!

It's a definite possibility Heaps goes with Brettschneider up front on his own instead of Diego just because he has some size.

I hope not for a myriad of reasons.

I agree, but after what we saw of Brettschneider last game ...

Hopefully if he gets another chance, he'll have a better performance and we'll see what convinced the Revs to sign him. Hopefully that wasn't just that he didn't cost much.

San Jose has plenty of speed and skill on the flanks, but lack a lot through the middle. They will be exposed.

I assume that no one has heard anything about Lechner. Tierney is out. Who starts at left back? Barnes?

Are Barnes and Runstrom still possible?

I can't believe that Brettschneider is going to be getting PT, let alone starting.

When all is said and done, these are the Revs we're talking about.

Time to sign Lechner and Runstrom...still only have 26 men on our roster and Sene is out.

Runstrom may not be a stud, but he is certainly 100 times better than Brettschneider.

Based on what? I agree that Brettschneider is anything but proven, but what makes you think Runstrom is better? He's never been known to be a scorer. He might be a good target forward, but he's far from a good signing. Even those in Sweden who like him have said he's not really a scorer, but more of a target guy. If either of them is our starter on Saturday, we're in a world of hurt. Maybe they perform, but neither is someone who should be starting our season at forward. I'd rather trade the international spot for someone expected to score.

I think the Revs (MLS Hq) are negotiating with them right now and that these are the players Burns was referring to when he said it was hoped they could announce signings within the next 10-14 days. I don't like the timing but IINM they have to get signings through the League office and this time of the year that can be a bit of a log jam.

Don't forget we now have Lee Nguyen as an option up top as well

He would be a support striker if you decide to use him up top, not a center forward.

The weakness there is definitely in the fullbacks. Corrales is way over the hill and Beitashour is pretty medicore from what I've seen. If I'm Heaps I'm telling Rowe and Cardenas to take them on at every opportunity.

Winnable. (Aren't they a bit of a bogey team for us though?)
SJ backline should have as much confidence as we did last year. We need to take advantage of that. Let someone else play bunkerball for a change.

Their play. Brettschneider sucks. Period. It isn't hard to be better than him.

Not to mention that he was a decent goal scorer with Hammarby while is better than anything Brettschneider can ever claim.

Apparently Nyassi has been placed on the Disabled List.

Didn't even know that was a thing.
