So I've been working on material to get a demo together...to shop around or maybe get a local gig...whatever...and I thought of posting songs as they are being developed. I'll have them produced later on but for now my own crappy mixing and producing skills will be all that you'll hear on the tracks. Vocals are all me...guitar is me and my brother, bass is my brother, organ brother, drum track is my cousin.

Give me feedback, tell me if you like it, hate it...whatever...flame if you want to also. :)

I have to be honest, I haven't really listened much to Interpol but if they sound anything like my main influences (my bloody valentine, Joy division, velvet underground) I could see why you might say that.

Not bad at all. I had the urge to smoke a joint while I was listening to it for some reason. I don't even do weed.

The Lead guitar is basically plucking an accompanying melody...nothing fancy....I am a terrible guitar player but I have to use it to compose songs.

I could care less for this song as it sounds nothing like ESATMZ.

Eduardo Filoso y Los Zeros Magnéticos. ;)

Thnx... pretty good track. The snare drum may need a little work. What are you mixing with?

    EDIT:

Nevermind. The snare sounds good. Must have been my other headphones.

    Damn good shit, yo!

    lol.....

The snare drum doesn't go in on the one coming back from the chorus...none of us are drummers so we don't know how to fix that in the mix...all I use to mix is my ear and Garageband. Any suggestions?

Garageband is pretty useful and cheap. As for other programs, maybe you should look into Logic Pro 9 if budget provides. It's like Garageband on steroids... x10.

There are others like Pro Tools, but that's in the pro realm, and thusly not cheap at all.

I would keep it with Garageband since you did a great job with the mixing.

    Post more tracks.
