Of the 52 champions in 2009-2010 (or 2009) that qualified clubs for the 2010-2011 Champions League and Europa League, 30 had the highest club coefficient by themselves of any club from that country in 2010-2011, 12 were tied for the highest club coefficient from that country, and 10 did not have the highest club coefficient from that country. Counting two-way ties as 1/2 and three-way ties as 1/3, the incumbent league champions and top club in the 2010-2011 UEFA competitions was the same 35.5 out of 52 times which is 68.3%. I excluded Liechtenstein. Later I will do the same thing for the previous four seasons. The ten clubs that were the best from their country by themselves in 2010-2011 UEFA competitions that were not their country's champion were: Manchester United (England) Schalke 04 (Germany) Porto (Portugal) Spartak Moscow (Russia) PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands) Besiktas (Turkey) PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece) Levski Sofia (Bulgaria) Garabag Agdam (Azerbaijan) NK Maribor (Slovenia)
