Looks like the new signing of Zaragoza will be Ivan Obradovic(Partizan). He is 20 year old LB and the starter in our NT. His defending is decent, his crossing excellent, and he even scored one goal in our WCQ game against Austria. Revelation in Serbian NT. Juventus and Ajax were interested in him, but Partizan was looking for a club which will not play in European cups, because they need him for CL qualifications. So they apparently chose Zaragoza.

Ricardo Costa's transfer from Wolfsburg to Real Zaragoza is now off. The transfer unexpectedly collapsed after Zaragoza chose to make changes to the deal after it had been agreed, therefore resulting in Costa pulling out and Wolfsburg being pissed off. Portuguese defender Costa, who will now return to the German Bundesliga outfit, even labelled Real Zaragoza as 'amateurs' following the transfer situation. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11881_5461876,00.html http://www.sportbox.tv/football/news/story.php?id=289745

i hope ike scoring streak continues so he can silent all critics who down played his move to RZ go ike Uche
Uche is an excellent talent. Hopefully he is one of the stars of La Liga this coming season and one of the highest goal scorers. He will get a chance to continue his goal scoring streak on Tuesday when RZ play their next pre-season game, this against San Roque from the Spanish Segunda Division B. RZ are definately one of the most improved team's in La Liga this season and hopefully they do rock the league. RZ should finish in the top half of the table in my opinion.
Whoops. Blame Bet365 for that one. They had the match as Chivas v Real Zaragoza. Cheers for the correction.

The 2009 tournament will kick-off today (07/08/2009), in which Zaragoza will take on the hosts Huelva. The second match will occur tomorrow, in which Zaragoza will meet Real Betis, and the third and final match will occur on Sunday, in which the hosts Huelva will close the tournament by taking on Real Betis. He never gained a foothold in Betis playing in only 12 games for Betis in 1 1/2 years and only 2 matches for Hertha after getting out of his Betis contract in Dec. 08. The Aragon newspapers said it best he's way out of shape and no one not even Marcelino wanted to sign him. Viva Er Beti Manque Lopera! Er Pichi

oh my uche is having an incredible preseason. lets see if he keeps it up, would be very interesting if he did.
Both Real Zaragoza and Hull City are currently battling it out to sign Spanish ace Alvaro Negredo from Real Madrid. The 23 year old striker, who had an impressive loan spell at Almeria last season, will cost around £12m to purchase. It is believed that Negredo was set to arrive in Hull tomorrow to complete a deal with the EPL outfit, however late strong interest from Zaragoza may have changed all that, and the Spanish press are claiming that talks between Zaragoza and Negredo are at an advanced stage. The Spanish press are also claiming that Negredo would prefer to play for Zaragoza as opposed to Hull, however Zaragoza may have trouble in affording the transfer fee. Hopefully RZ are victorious with this transfer, and Negredo can form part of the likely to be impressive strikeforce, which also features Uche and Ewerthon. http://www.extrafootie.co.uk/clubs/detailed/hull-city/23894/ http://www.imscouting.com/global_news_item.aspx?id=2840
Marko babic joins Zaragoza http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_5500364,00.html Negredo would be a great signing! hopefully it happens
Negredo has rejected a move to Hull City, and unfortunately the same may also apply to Real Zaragoza. Reports are suggesting that Negredo has instead opted to sign for UEFA Champions League competing Sevilla FC, who entered the bidding war for the player late. It is believed that Sevilla FC will sign the player for 15m Euros, and offer Negredo a four year deal, which will also feature a buy back clause in which Real Madrid could re-sign the striker after one or two seasons. http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5gFVhZUivAAiNQh4T3RArybJg-I2Q
