I always used to think of Raul as invisible, but even when he was not effective in attack; his defensive work rate was high as he was always pressuring defenders. Higuain is doing nothing at all, he is nothing but a mere spectator.
How useless is Higuain? Cant wait to till Real Madrid sell him, so that I dont have to see him in a white shirt.
So, how do you like Higuain, it isn't quite clear? By the way, he hasn't been bad really. First touch must be sharper, for sure. He's been about as good as everyone else has been. Disjointed match, but we've had some chances. I'm worried about out defense getting too malformed and giving up a quirky one.
Our defense has been good, especially Coentroa, and Ramos who provide good width. Modric with a beautiful volley 2 minutes ago.
Ozil does need to look for his shot every now and again. Looked like we could grab a goal somehow during that scramble, but no dice. This isn't one of our typical games where we look clueless. Modric, Ronaldo, Ozil, Di Maria are almost pulling some things off, just need the finish.
Modric, Ronaldo, Özil with a fantastic chance each. Di Maria is looking good. Just start the second half the way we ended the first and we'll be fine. Just need one goal to break them.
Its clear that I dont like him. Higuain has low defensive work rate, and his off the ball movement is really bad. Not to mention he can not hold up play.It may be that he is not linking up well with our players. Even though Mourinho's formation has one striker, we do need to buy a centre forward this summer to fire up both Benzema and Higuain,
Higuain's off the ball movement and working of the backline is actually commonly praised. His lack of skill with the ball at his feet, lack of a nice first touch are what hurts him. The guy has been trying to make things happen for his teammates in this one, almost had an assist for Ozil and generally moving around just fine. Look, with Ronaldo around our strikers do not get the attention they might have in other lineups. They try to find their spots and make something happen. That's what he is doing. It's not like he has been served up any finishable balls from his teammates, right?
