Di Maria has been second to Ozil in assists the last two seasons. The amazing Khedira has broken his own personal record with a whopping FOUR assists this season.

 

And they play in the same position so it's not at all comparing apples to oranges, not at all.

 

I was being sarcastic. But if you want to compare apples, oranges, and bananas: Marcelo and Sergio Ramos both scored more goals and provided more assists than Khedira and they are defenders. They are also in the FIFA all world team while Khedira is not. To make a long story short Khedira is not among the best players in the world and DiMaria is a better option in attack.
