Maybe Califf for cheaper than he made this year. Or cheap Ty Harden.

besides a 3rd string GK, theres nothing else in this list

I had a feeling that would be the case. Impossible anyone else would make an offer. If he gets 75% of his GA contract, he'll be playing in a decent amount of games next year.

    Gargan went to SJ.

and for laughs, the Revs picked up Chad Barrett

So Fire lose Gargan to SJ
Nolly gets left out in the cold for nobody
    Bone is renegotiating,
Fire pass and don't add anyone new.

IMO, not that bad. nobody looked really enticing, and the few that did were taken very early.
Only one that might have been interesting would have been Corrales who went unpicked from SJ. But at 35, I'm not sure he's our d-mid solution. We need someone young back there

Yeah, we don't need any mid 3o's Mids. They obviously had other plans on passing on the very few decent selections there were, like going after some now that they are free agents.

Maybe strike lucky and sign Mikkel Diskerud

Unlikely, he would go through allocation, and Timbers are rumored to be working to get him. They traded up to second, and somehow have an agreement in place with Toronto that they won't pick him. Sounds to me like they are just going to wait for him to come through.

However, Frankie was apparently in Argentina, where he allegedly was scouting Matías Laba and Gaspar Iníguez (via theoffsiderules) .

At 21 and 18 years old, they certainly would be much younger center mids...

According the the spanish language wikipeida, Laba is the next Fernando Redondo. And Iniquez apparently was the subject of a 2 million dollar bid from Barcelona when he was 9, if my pigeon spanish is reading his page right, which it probably isn't

I watch the Argentine league somewhat regualrly when I can.I have seen Laba play once or twice, I would be pleasantly stunned at this signing.I think he could not only start- but be an impact player, with the added benefit of having Pardo on the bench if needed.Accurate description as far as Redondo, which is pretty much saying he is the Fire's next Pardo (if they signed him).

Who do you think will be our new annual Uruguayan signing?

We already have a bad Uruguayan deadweight taking up space on our roster.

Edinson Cavani. I'm tired of Andy saying he'll pay Keane money and then buying nobodies. If he doesn't make an offer, I'm becoming a Galaxy fan.
