That makes 16 goals in all competitions, compared to 17 last season. With 3 matches remaining, he is 2 goals off last year's league scoring pace.

Those are Shrek feet. WTF is up with his right toe? Must've lost that toenail a few hundred times until his foot just gave up and stopped making him a new one.

However, he's averaging a goal every 153 minutes this year, compared to 193 last year so I would suggest he's been better this year.

Kinda O/T a bit but I wonder how he finds Austria compared to Germany? Like would he find it more cultural or less diverse than Germany more rules or what?

Another header for Boyd. He is huge in the air. Against the league giants no less.

what's the likelihood that Boyd could make the move this summer? I know he hasn't dominated the league but it's clear he needs to move to a larger league if he wants to develop more and get more time with the NT. Could he get a move back to the Bundesliga or does he need to seek something less prestigious?

He was linked with Lazio, Udinese, West Ham, and Watford awhile ago. I don't know how accurate the sources were, but I think he's leaving after this season.

Let's hope he makes a better move than Jozy, but in any event, I feel pretty confident Boyd will get off shots anywhere. Haven't been able to see much of him in club matches, but what I've seen there plus USMNT action suggests he's not too timid to have a go in most any circumstance. And for me, frankly, that's a compliment.

As the cliche goes, you can't score if you don't shoot. I subscribe to the Coach Kent Murphy approach - "fire that thing in there."

I would love to see him continue to do well and get more publicity because he seems so damn likeable. Great charisma, funny and exuberant. It's ironic that a Germerican is possibly the most NBA-like personality among the US pool (if that's not forum appropriate, substitute YA for US). I wish we had a few more guys like him to root for.

What about Herculez Gomez? He seems incredibly well liked and laid back and just Awesome from a fan perspective.

The only problem is that he scores a lot of goals with his head, and you need good service to do that.

Boyd is now tied for 5th in goals (13) in the Austrian Bundesliga. He is two behind third place (Garter, 15), however, third and fourth place (Hosiner, 14) have both played roughly 700 more minutes than Boyd.

Has Hosiner been injured? It was last season when he scored in every match right?

He's not scoring like he did last year, but 14 goals in 32 games is still a pretty decent season so far.

This year's Hosiner is Jonathan Soriano of Red Bull Salzburg: 30 goals in 26 games.
