Do any of the other posters who use this site in the UK get annoying little ads hovering at the top left of the screen?

So far I've had Orange, Vodafone and a Blackberry ad. Very annoying.

Just visiting family, arrived today in Nottingham(urgh) and off to Lisbon to catch up with the other side of the family for a funeral.


Just seemed super weird because back in Aus I never got anything like that on my laptop . It's like a little flash ad, rectangular and it hovers over the top of the page as you described, as I scroll it moves with me. Getting a Sky Bet won at the moment.

I assumed it must be a region thing because as I said I'd never gotten them back home and they're all mentioning pounds and just had one trying to sell me tickets to The Ladykillers at Gielgud theatre Surprised me since normally ads are just localised but the form of delivery remains the same. Reminds me a bit of the problem I and others had earlier where we'd get the video up the top right hand of screen in the actual webpage here.

The cold I can deal with (I hate Australian heat, humidity ect) plus it hasn't been so bad, meant to get worse start of next week. But I'll have moved on by then and Lisbon should be all good.


The problem I'm having is sleep cycle related, I've been studying for exams before I left and a bit while here (have to fly back by myself the day after the service for exams) and I just have no concept of what time it is anywhere right at the moment after you throw in the 23 hour flight via Hong Kong.

I really wanna start messing around with music editing software and try making some beats. Anyone have experience with this or know of any good programs?
