Hey now, I have higher standards than that. Hasheem Thabeet is as low as I'm willing to go. The county-by-county breakdown is also depressing and lacking in surprises - you can locate Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Charlotte, Greensboro, Asheville, Wilmington and Boone without hovering over this map here: http://www.wral.com/news/political/page/10991843/ Chatham County is the only surprise. Everyone else decided it's okay if the state wanted to kick itself in the nuts and alienate businesses that might have otherwise considered moving there.
That's not a big surprise. We've always had to drag rural America kicking and screaming into the present, much less the future. Hell, if you had held a vote in 1975 on a constitutional amendment reinstating Jim Crow laws in NC, I suspect that, county by county, the results would have been the same. Honestly, the only reason that Washington and Oregon are so progressive is that the urban population here is a significantly higher percentage than it is in other states. We can outvote the dumbasses that still want to live in the 1950s. Also, respect to Dare County for at least coming close to voting against it.

Is Grizzlies vs Is Clippers vs Grizzlies like the greatest thing ever? More of this, please. I should dislike everything about Kitty Pryde. Like, there's no redeeming feature about her or her music. But it works.
LSAT? Any chance that we can talk you out of that madness? You're headed in a direction where crushing debt is guaranteed and income isn't.
seriously. Law school debt is worth it if you finish in the top 50% at a top 25 school. Otherwise, you better love reading a shitload of boring shit, working ridiculous hours and committing billing fraud so you can make partner.
Damnit, Splarg. You made me bump the locked thread. Twice. Apologies, Bison. I know not my Supah strength.
It's like the less I work, the higher I get promoted. Hmmmm. I wonder if that pertains to RL as well.
--It's definitely the most compelling first-round match-up. I'm rooting for the Clippers because of Chris Paul (and despite Sterling) but I would really love to see what would happen if the Grizzlies got a rematch against the Spurs. --I dislike that I have to specify "Kitty Pryde +rapper" in Google. I chalk it up to the strange mystical, alluring power of redheads. --It seems you can't multi-quote over multiple pages with this new system. Loving the new site! --I through some pinto beans in leftover spaghetti sauce. Huzzah for lazy chili!
-- Oh. I gotta make hotel and car reservations for the concert next month. It's been a while since I've had to plan anything. -- Found a good shooting range in T'hassee that offers all sorts of classes. I think I may take up shooting (as a hobby) soon. There's a range close to where I work, and now a place close to where I ride. -- Found a baby possum in my room last night. I can only assume he got in via the backdoor or front door, since we have screen doors on both that sometimes get propped open. Between the possum and the oak snake at my aunt's, I'm ready to move someplace with arctic temperatures.

rant/ oh. my. ********ing. god. technology hates me lately. it's doing my head in. I'm ready to give up computers for good. ******** them. more hassle than they are worth /end rant So... i had this whole story written out - paragraphs - of the ridiculously angry black man on the bus this morning yelling at all the other black folks how they were all "********ing dumb stupid n******" because the bus was so packed and he couldn't get off even though he'd said excuse me/pardon me or something... police had to be called he was taken off bus by police. my ipod ********ing ate it. it was a really exciting morning. the story included a huge bike chain being wielded as a weapon, women rushing (literally falling over each other) to get out of this douchebag's way and a saviour-esque 6'6" or something dude getting up after a minute or so of douchebag's antics, walking towards him and saying "how about you try ********ing me up." which shut the douchebag up from telling people "i'ma make you go night night. do you know who i am? I kill cops for fun! ******** you n*****" to "*gulp, puts chain back around his neck* what! what! come take this off me then! (indicating the chain)" this just doesn't do it justice. He did have a point about people being rude and not letting others off the bus at their stop though... they were all very rude and no one moved even though he did, to his credit, ask nicely. Threatening people with a 3inch padlock being swung on a 2" thick chain though.... maybe a little OTT. to go back to my rant slightly... I'm so over all my tech shit ********ing up. yet the minute other people look at it, it works perfectly. it's like just being in my proximity messes it up. my comp at home got all messed up last night and I didn't do ANYTHING except move the tower... ughhhhhhhh. I got it working and will deal with fixing the sound which still won't work later today. so over it. my work comp is slow as balls as well... ov. er. it. also, if you play drawsomething please to start a game with me through facebook. kthxbai! **Edit** I feel I should say I live in a predominantly Caribbean area of Brooklyn. Barring the rare angry douche and the odd break in (*rolleyes*) I do actually like my neighbourhood. it's not as cramped as further downtown/towards Manhattan.
