Same Here there are a lot of billboards and a lot of TV advertising. Back when I was a young buck, I remember I got excited when I saw one bus with an LA Galaxy ad. It was so rare it usually got posted on here somewhere.

Gyasi Zardes on Cobi's Corner. Topics include adjusting to MLS, the origin of the gold mohawk, LD teaching him how to work with the press, and playing with Robbie Keane. Cool stuff.

Further to Becks' Miami venture. I read that the Port Miami land, where Becks proposes to build a soccer stadium, was given to the City of Miami with a restrictive covenant that the land be used ONLY for a port. If this is true, and depending on how that restriction was set up, it is possible that the attempt to use the land for a non-designated purpose could result in the property reverting to the original owner. Not sure that person or company is still around, but I can see at a minimum a court challenge to an attempt to build the stadium there, and it could be tied up for a long time through the court system.

Good stuff. Zardes always seems to have a good head on his shoulders. I also like the eagerness to learn and improve

So, four games in, and 3 nominations for Save of the Week for our goalkeepers. Remind me again how many weeks it took last season before Cudicini had 3 SOTW nominations…?

On the other hand, that's three golden chances our porous defense allowed.....

Porous may be a little extreme since we've limited our opponents to a respectable 3.2 SOG per game so far and are posting a very good 0.5 GAA. But as you say a few of those were golden opportunities requiring our gk to come up big. So I personally would go with LA having a "not bad, but not great either" defense so far this year.

(Of course I am ignoring our defense at Tijuana. I learned that trick from Leo.)

Gargan has been a top 5 player for our team every game.

One of the best moves Bruce made recently. One of those small quiet moves that pays off well beyond expectations.

Yep - when he signed Riley, and Gargan was injured, I kind of expected that Gargan would be released. Good thing he wasn't. Although Greg Cochrane probably could be helping us a bit right about now, too.
