Just not subscribing to the same kind of tribalism as others.

This bothers me. I'm not naive about the rivalry that existed between Rafa and Chelsea in his Liverpool days. But FFS sake give the guy a shot. What good would it do if these people got their way and Rafa was fired almost immediately after being appointed?

Two different perspectives about the booing from fans groups though plenty of common ground on Rafa's unpopularity (can't stand FSW, never have, never will, but this is about how we as fans react that's the topic).

I would also refer back to Cech telling fans and more recently teammates to give Benitez a chance.

Given that the booing was inevitable, do we think that the point has been made or should we boo every game until Rafa is gone (as Trizia suggests)? I thought the negative atmosphere directly affected the play on the field (as David suggests), but maybe that's just the point of view of the sheep (even though it appears to be a minority one) :D

Myself, I know he's out by the end of the season so any acceleration of this would simply lead to another temporary appointment and not sure it would achieve anything to add further disruption at this time.

Sadly, what the banners remind me of is when Rooney was on the verge of leaving United and supporters made "Who's the whore now, Wayne?" slogans. Not something many of them will revisit with good memories I'm sure.

I'm confused pete, I was told I was a sheep by not booing and yet the masses are on the other side of the fence. Maybe I'm an exclusive kind of sheep, like a Leicester Longwool :D

I don't get it. Sure, there was a heated rivalry but he's now the manager of the first team. I won't boo unless he deserves it. Give him a chance and maybe he can get this fuster cluck straightened out. Defensively, the team was an absolute mess under RDM. I like Robbie, but you have to get the defense sorted and strong; that is what carries you through the tough patches.

rafa isn't going anywhere until the season is over, wishing for us to lose so he gets fired is stupid. For that to happen we would have to lose a LOT of matches and we would be screwed for CL next year, so don't wish this.
