Maybe he reconsidered and had a change of heart seeing the current situation in Atlas and their dismal performances in the past torneos. Who knows, perhaps his next move after saving Atlas from relegation is to become the majority owner. That would be the ideal if I were an Atlas fan. De capitan a dueño como el Cheto Leaño.
He already tried buying the team once and it didn't work out. El potrillo was part of the ownership group proposed.
Don't Pollo already have two foreigners playing ahead of him? and Rafa plays in the middle of the field now days, no?
I like that Rafa has come out and said he needs to stay active, especially with all the games MNT have this year. I think he still wants in and I think he can still be of some help in some capacity. I like what i'm hearing.
true that Rafa will contribute more than those 2 combined. he could end up being the 2010 version of Cuau, not a starter but can come in the 2nd half to help recuperate in the mid and set up some nice passes. he's also good on free kicks.
Red Bulls release Rafa Marquez “This decision has been made in the best interests of both parties concerned,” Red Bulls sporting director Andy Roxburgh said in a team statement. “Rafa has accomplished a great deal during his career and is a top quality player. We want to thank him for his service to the Red Bulls and wish him the best of luck in the next stage of his career.” Should be announced as a Leon player soon. / in before the lock
His lack of pace was always a detriment. When he was healthy, I thought he was pretty good but you know Rafa and his constant muscle strains. MLS fans will tell you otherwise though, they hated him before he even suited up for the RedBulls.
I think he was never meant for this league. He probably knew it deep down inside. He needed a more technical less physical league. He was getting tossed around like a rag doll some games I would watch. His teammates around him too, couldn't handle him and his vision. Too high caliber of a player to deal well in the league/team he was in.
