holy moses - i don't think i have ever seen a team over the course of a season that scores so many goals from set pieces and crosses.

i hope Bolillo/Alvarez are calling up Villas Boas for pionters on how to maximize R9, Guarin and hopefully james (soon enough)

What it comes down to is excellent aerial service provided to Falcao and excellent execution on his finishing. He does not forgive defenses when he is crossed the ball.

This is the main reason why I want James on the wings. He knows how to provide good passes in the air and on the ground.
We have to also hope guys like Armero, Zuniga and Cuadrado can improve on their service so that we can utilize Falcao like Porto does to the best of his abilities.

No, lo que necesitamos en un "10" que lo deje uno a uno con el portero...

Just kidding.. I 100% agree with you.. We have to pound the ball in the area with enough accuracy for Falcao to finish..

59 goals in 71 games since he went to Porto. And I still remember El Tiempo's staff claiming he wasn't a 'goleador'...

And as Pipe notes, the rate holds up just as strong in European competition as well.

    So proud of Radamel.

Yeah nice finish from El Tigre, and a 3-2 victory for Porto. He's such a dynamic finisher, scoring goals with his head, from both feet on the ground, etc.

He needs to start saving some of these for Copa America !!!

If Falcao and Guarin score half as often as they do for Porto in Yellow, WCQs will be no problem for us.

How likely is it that you guys will keep any of these 3 players. Real and Inter are interested in Falcao and a bunch of decent teams in Spain want J-Rod and Guarin.

I'm hoping that all 3 will stay.

--Falcao is definitely wanted by a number of clubs, but he's recently stated that he's happy at Porto, wants to play in the CL with us next year, and is willing to extend his contract (which would increase his salary and guarantee that he could leave next summer).

--Guarin has been great, and looks like he will be a key piece of our MF next season.

--And James isn't going anywhere. Hulk and Cristian Rodriguez will likely be sold, so James should be a key piece of our club next year! :)

unless Porto is in serous financial trouble this is what i think:

i think James sticks around for 3 years at least - he needs a full season under his belt for porto and become a regular starter before his value can be sold at top dollar

falcao sticks around for another season, 2 tops. porto will want to have him when they make their CL run next year. he'll do a 4-year rotation like lisandro did before falcao ends up being sold for 25 to 30 million euros

guarin gets sold this summer. compared to his first two years at porto, i can see porto selling guarin only because his stock has risen so much in a short period of time. i can see porto selling him now while the iron is still hot.

personally i would like to see them keep 99% of the team together so they make a strong run at the CL next season, but porto buys and sells players better than probably most teams, plus they have iturbe coming in next season, so i'm sure there will be some changes

Well He needs to get proper service in the Copa or else we are screwed. Bolillo should have everyone out there practicing their crosses to Falcao hundreds of times a day from dawn until dusk. :p
