but that was back in the day when media outlets was very limited. if it wasn't covered by the mainstream media, the likelihood of learning about something was very slim. in today's world of Internet blogs, social media, etc., your choices for off-beat, non-main-stream media sources is quite wide. you have only yourself (not you specifically) to blame for not knowing about some social/political issue that you care about. but people prefer to get their social/political commentary in different ways. some prefer art, some music, some comedy (like the Daily Show or Colbert Report), some in light, magazine-type reading, some through more serious journalistic sources (whether in print or television or radio), some on social media, some through blogs, etc.

If he's been his wife for a while, it's quite possible that they're relegated the stage that replaces lovemaking.

Edit - Married 10 years, she's 42, yeah getting close.

Wow, that's a blast from the past! I only truly remember her from "Father of the Bride".

Bragg is an incredible lyricist. And he writes about all topics. Here's one he wrote about the death of his father. It "sounds" alot better than it reads.

Kiss me goodnight and say my prayers
Leave the light on at the top of the stairs
Tell me the names of the stars up in the sky
A tree taps on the window pane
    That feeling smothers me again
Daddy is it true that we all have to die

At the top of the stairs
    Is darkness

I closed my eyes and when I looked
Your name was in the memorial book
And what had become of all the things we planned
    I accept the commiserations
Of all your friends and your relations
But there's some things I still don't understand

    You were so tall
    How could you fall?

Some photographs of a summer's day
    A little boys lifetime away
Is all I've left of everything we've done
Like a pale moon in a sunny sky
Death gaves down as I pass by
To remind me that I'm but my father's son

    I offer up to you
    This tribute
    I offer up to you
    This tank park salute

Speaking of racism here is a very interesting and well edited documentary made on Adolf Hitler, National Socialist Germany and World War 2:

The video is blocked in Germany. May I ask for a summary of the highlights? Given who posted the link here I am sure there must be some interesting stuff there!

The documentary is too long to give a summary on, it's easily over 3 hours long. It's a disgrace that it is censored in your country ,though I am not surprised as it exposes the truth of Adolf Hitler and what the 2nd World War was really about and who started it.

Here, is the documentary cencored here too?

This isn't the whole documentrty but a big chunk of it:

Here is a link to the first part of the video on DailyMotion, the rest of the parts are just a click away too:

If they are both censored too, maybe you can use a free online proxy to view the videos on youtube?

Watched the part posted, the first 14+ minutes. Interesting, but really glances over the foundation of his hate for the Jews.

Oh, it gets better. The other videos work. Anti-semitic drivel. I only skipped through it, but it seems the message becomes "it's all the Jews fault". Then it tells us how the Nazis liberated Poland, mentions how the Poles and Jews were in it to massacre German civilians, and then how Hitler fought bravely against the British and American imperialists. The Waffen-SS was the most ethnically diverse unit in military history btw (I swear to god, that's an actual quote - by the film makers I mean).

You don't even know what Semetic means. The brainwashing has worked well on this one, a genuine lost cause.

Oh, please, I beg of you, do tell us what "Semetic" means. Then enlighten us as to what Semitic means, including the origin of the term.

Roger Waters ( who I like) singing about the evils of Capitalism in a kick ass show while simultaneously charging 100 plus dollars per concert ticket is the stuff of head explosions. But I'm not really artsy at all so take it for what its worth, but I just don't necessarily think Musicians really believe\practice what they are singing about.

You missed some classic idiocy by worms on the Texas explosion thread. But the mods' Black Ops squad took them out.

By "classic idiocy," incidentally, I mean "links from Infowars."

Okay, after reading most of this stuff, the odds that worms is NOT a member of the Aryan nations are extraordinarily low/small/nonexistent. These people are very dangerous. Anyone who converses with him needs to know that Aryan Nations members carry grudges and are not above violence as retribution. Be careful.

I don't know, I'm not sure I consider it trolling. I think in a sense within this thread it's in topic, because it's precisely what this thread is about. It's a racist point of view that's out there in the 21st century and we need to be aware of it. I'd argue that within the context of this particular thread such a point of view should be seen, exposed and addressed.

But that's just my opinion, I'm aware that some of the stuff being brought here is very offensive and if the higher ups don't want it here I'll gladly delete it.

I'm in agreement with asf. I had this conversation a couple of weeks ago when the KKK was in town, and answered the question of banning by saying, "it is better to know the other viewpoint even if I don't like it so that I know what people really believe, even if I don't like it."

I respect your decision, but I think even for me there are bridges too far and that documentary was that bridge. I've put the problem on ignore (first time I've ever done that, breaking a rule I gave myself), and won't engage with it any more.
