Thanks for the link! I've only recently started (last few weeks) but I feel my progress has been rapid. I've learned a little bit of vocabulary and can now speak basic sentences for travel/tourism purposes. I guess because so many English words have Greek roots, that it doesn't strike me as difficult as some others. I'm married to an Indian woman and believe me, I gave up trying to learn Hindi a long time ago. I also almost took a job in Japan a year or two ago and the Japanese lessons were killing me. Greek is way easier than those two. Plus, I have more of a desire to learn Greek than those other two.
I'm trying to learn the language too. Recapture my roots. It sucks meeting someone Greek and the disappointed look in their eye when you don't speak the language.
I'm not Greek, but I just figured it'd be a cool language to learn. I want to live/work abroad at some point, so I figured why not Greece?
