Re: Quintinilla Waived This should likely be moved to the DCU Alums forum clearly, but it's still in the main thread (can a mod help with this?): Quintanilla appears to be playing with Alianza of El Salvador on a one-year contract to get his game and fitness back with the intentions of resuming a career outside of ES: http://www.elsalvador.com/noticias/2005/07/22/deportes/dep1.asp http://www.laprensagrafica.com/lmf/2005/2578241.asp
Re: Quintinilla Waived Thanks for the links.. I'll post them on the ES forum too... I hope he helps Alianza (my team) to another run at the cup.. at least for one year.
Re: Quintinilla Waived I guess it's relative. If you're always that slow, it's hard to tell if you're out of shape or just running as fast as possible and still getting burned.
Re: Quintinilla Waived The coaches love latinos... The coaches love Salvadoreans... It's those damn Quintanillas they hate so much...
Re: Quintinilla Waived It sounds like some tropical disease. "I got a case of Quintanilla from some chica down in the barrio, but a shot of penicillin cured it. Burn?! Ay yi yi!
... mod's note ... Did one better. I split it out from the old thread and moved it to the alumni board. I'm sure imp65 will want to subscribe to this thread and eagerly awaits updates.
Re: Quintinilla Waived Q2 now with San Salvador at the beginning of the 2006 Apertura - no longer with Alianza. http://www.laprensa.com.sv/lmf/2006/01/398177.asp He states that he has left his options open for opportunities outside ES but is anticipating a strong season with SS in 2006. Side note: The picture with this article (article from last week but photo from 2005) looks like he's getting his ankle taken out pretty badly. Yuck.
Re: Quintinilla Waived http://www.elsalvador.com/mwedh/nota/nota_completa.asp?idCat=6429&idArt=3781972 I came across this today. Seems that he won't be at the Gold Cup because he will be training with his new team, Ermis. They were recently promoted to the first division in Cyprus. Yes, Cyprus.
