Remember - the request for Weissbier and/or hard cider has been in the hopper (pun intended) for a while now. Must keep us lushes happy who have an allergy to regular beer!
Peter, Two questions: 1. It's been reported that when the league realigns next season, either the Wizards or FC Dallas 96 will be moved to the East. Is it true that there are actually people who think that the Wizards should be moved to the East and if so, can you reveal their names so that interested parties can hunt them down and -- er, I mean, so that interested parties can appeal to them to change their minds? 2. What were you first thoughts when you read Garber's "#1 major league" quote?
That's cool. Will the players have red leather reclining racing car seats to sit in? I'm not sure which Bundesliga stadium has that, but it's pretty cool.
Maybe early christmas cards to each of the clubs and the league would help to give an indication of what is wanted.
Peter- as a fellow Milwaukeean, what did you think of UWM's turn around? I mean smashing Marquette two days ago (who had just beaten 11th ranked South Florida) was pretty cool, especially with Antou Jallow scoring his two to tie Tony Sanneh's career goal scoring record for UWM with two games left in the season before playoffs. There are other players on UWM who might make the grade as well. I don't even know how he works into the draft, but I'd love to see him don the red.
i was more surprised by their slow start than their recent success. They have good talent and a very good staff. peter
correction....first row will be even lower. Eye level will be about 3' above field level. Floor level of front row will be 6 inches above the field. Sorry FanAddict, you may want to consider the front row behind the player benches which will be recessed and higher up. peter
1. Yes there are people who thnk the Wizards should move to the East. i can not reveal names, but i haven't heard any objections from the affected parties. 2. He shared that with the GMs recently. At first i was stunned. Thought it was a typo. As he described the idea and the rationale, he created converts and strengthened the committment from those in the room. peter
I may do that. Is one side going to have a balconey or second level? If so are there going to be any elevators or escalators in the stadium.
Well, there's always room for banners... and if need be we can chase people out of / rope off the front row or two to give us some more space. Still, i think in the Harlem End there is a planned pole 3 to 5 feet above the field at the front of the section for banners...even if it is just 3 we can angle the banners down a bit.
There have been moments when I have wondered whether Peter was spending too much time being available to the fans. But this stadium project makes it so clear that he's got it right. The little things are going to have a huge impact on the fans' experience and I know we've only touched on the tip of the iceberg so far. Thanks.
Peter, In the recently posted interview with Soccerloop you discussed Cabellero and Thiago's international status and how it effects AW and Dipsy. Has Andy Williams gotten his green card yet? I remember hearing sometime during this season that he was close to getting one. Any info you can share regarding this? Thanks.
