For aesthetics, I'd rather Puma if we had to leave Nike. I just can't imagine a United shirt with 3 stripes on the shoulders.
Not for me...that Puma gear is too skintight, form fitting. I'm already shuddering at the sights of fat Gooners next season in the stands with the kit on. Plus, we've done Adidas before and they look brilliant.
I would be a fan of adidas. Nike has had a good run, but I've been growing away from their product over the last three to five years. I think their boots have become less and less quality, and now it appears that their kits are doing the same as well. Nike has become a corporate incarnation of American consumerism, whereas Adidas is reshaping in the face of German pragmatism and meticulous design.
Also the eighties. 6 Top Red Points Deducted. In all seriousness though, when I think of the "classic" Man United kit, I tend to think of the early eighties shirt.
http://www.theguardian.com/football...ive-friendlies-champions-league-europa-league Apparently we plan on parading the club around Europe to make up for the European monies we will not be collecting next season. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at us giving up the last few shreds of dignity.
If foreign idiots want to pay to watch dross and buy merchandise then why not? Injuries and fatigue are well worth the additional money for Moyes' signings.
Mirror going with 600M over 10 years with Nike. Not as much as the initial reports but still a massive improvement.
But (apparently) this will allow Utd to maintain "the Utd way". "The Utd way" used to involved playing well -- now it appears to be "maintain the existing Utd board in the style they're accustomed to".
Somewhere, Rooney's agent is stroking his chin and contemplating how long it's feasible for his client to wait before deciding to be dissatisfied with the clubs current direction...
for some reason I really hate this thread. we dont post a lot in it but when i see it as an unread thread, it just pisses me off.............
