we are relying on bednar when he doesnt even start for a bad team. This game may get ugly. I hope Super Tom Rosicky has a brilliant game and wins it for us.

All is good, key games will be against Spain to see if we can "steal" back the lost points to end up first in the group.

In more realistic scenerio, game in Lithuania might be a key one as well.Any more slip ups and it would be bad.

Trying to spark up this forum again. We play Spain friday and I know ESPN3 will be showing the game, so let's go Czech!! I am not too optimistic about this match but who knows, we may get lucky and steal a win. Rosicky, Cech, Plasil, Baros, Necid and our D will need to have one hell of a game!

According to Czech media it will be men marking, over number on defense and hopefully some break away counter attacking...

Hope we at least get a point form that.

O wow that can really bite us in the butt. We will play boring soccer but who knows we may catch them on the counter although we aren't a counter attacking side. I fear that playing really defensively against Spain can allow us to get destroy.

Getting a point in Madrid would be amazing, but I'm not optimistic. That said this is the healthiest we've been in awhile, but Spain is still Spain, and our defense will have to play much better than the sum of its parts.

If we do get something from this match, then we're pretty much golden.

The Liechtenstein game will also be on ESPN 3.

Ah good I get to watch both matches in HD. Games on soon and who knows we can pull off a HUGE upset. We aren't a team that should be underestimated by any means. If we play as a team and defend strongly I can see us getting at least a point. I am trying to stay optimistic! Proudly wearing my rosicky Czech kit today!

I completely agree with you Czech Soccer. It was stupid I don't even know why kept Necid on the bench and put Rezek on there. We got so unlucky. Spain's goals were a deflection and pk. I thought we played so well and I thought we deserved a point. Now we need to win against lichenstein no matter what!

Rezek is doing great GL for Plzen,so he came up...

We are playing in Ceske Budejovice on a little stadium, but Lichtenstein has to be 3 points...If it weren't for the lose of points vs. Latvia in Olomouc we'd be laughing...

The Czech commentators ,former pros, etc... Expressed a sour taste in their mouths to see us playing that role vs. Spain. Don't forget that we were 1 and 2 in FIFA ranking not that long time ago...

    They all say Czechs don't got the players such as Nedved,Smicer or Poborski...I'll tell ya a secret,they've got one...{keep ya posted}

I still don't like using Rezek. I would have wanted Necid. We need to win at home now. We really should win at home. And who is this secret great player? Václav Kadlec?

We don't have any "secret" players anymore...This is it...Poborski,Nedved and Smicer's generation is gone...

The team arrived back to Prague by as Gov't airforce special and located in Hluboka nad Vltavou a luxury castle location close to Ceske Budejovice, where they will play Lichtenstein on Tuesday...For regeneration and preparation.

good to hear that no one is injured. I hope we play a more attacking line up against Lichtenstein. It would be an EMBARRASSMENT if we didn't get 3 points in this one. I know we aren't the Czechs we once were, but we still have a pretty good team. I worry though. Once guys like Baros, Rosicky, and Plasil get old, who else do we have? We can go with our younger players but currently we aren't producing too many shining stars. We need another Rosicky. We need another Nedved. We need another Koller. I hope Necid can become a great player, same with Kadlec.

We have a great U-21 program, some players are still from the U-20 WC in Canada when they lost to Argentina in the Final 1:2 etc...

We do produce enough players but somehow not the ones we need...:)
Big issue right now in Czech...Who are we producing etc...

Good win for us today. We needed it at home. I was surprised how small of a stadium we played in. I feel bad for Baros he got so many chances. I also would like to start Necid instead of using him as a sub.

Yeah, that's in Ceske Budejovice, nice little stadium...

    2:0 is good.

Spain beat Lithuania 3:1 as well,so we have to insure the second spot in the group for the play-offs.

Ah I am from velke Bilovice which is by Brno but I currently go to school in Pennsylvania. The farthest west in Czech I have been is Prague and that was for a few days. I wish Czech would play some more games in Brno so I could go to those. Thats like a 30 minute drive for me if that. I saw czech play USA here last summer and I gotta see us win 4-2 which I liked :D. Well enough of my personal story. Czech doesn't have another qualifier till september and a lot can happen before then. I hope rosicky leaves arsenal. He is underappreciated there. I hope Aston villa signs him. Also bigger clubs have been looking at necid, kadlec, and plasil.

It's about 3 hours away from my town. A little too far for me.
