Well, as Adrian said a few times, it's a compromise. The Sounders will play their play-off game with full end zone markings, the Seahawks logo, and NFL sidelines. The Seahawks meanwhile, will play their regular season game on Sunday with......um......with........ Well.....as Adrian said, both sides worked out this compromise.
Yeah...while they could easily remove the soccer lines by Sunday, hopefully they'll throw us a bone and leave something on the field. Then at least they can say, "See! There's the 'compromise' Adrian was talking about!"
Since RSL seems unable to win big matches on its own pitch,I would expect to see a more offensive team than a typical home and home series sees.
It's when we host the second leg of big matches that things just don't go our way. I think that is why many RSL fans wanted to finish 3rd in the west.
Good News! No Salsuck! Per the MLS Website: REFEREE: Hilario Grajeda. SAR (bench): Paul Scott; JAR (opposite): Jeff Hosking; 4th: Allen Chapman
I wonder if the attendance of playoff games is an accurate reflection of the number of season tickets each team has.
Perhaps? Considering season ticket holders are probably the most dedicated fans of a team, I'd guess they are also the ones that would be most likely to buy a playoff ticket given the short turn around for playoff games.
I am the one who is not STH and who attends 4-5 games every year but I reserved playoff ticket after Dallas game. Several STH that I know are not attending tonight's game due to "rainy season" or having something other to do on Friday night. Go figure?!
I hope we play so rough in the field tonight that the logos and lines would be barely visble come on sunday. RSL help us out.
I'm one of those STH who isn't attending. When you combine the long drive (at least 1 hour each way), not knowing if it would be a workday or weekend, the anticipated weather, etc., I elected not to buy playoff tickets. And I'm glad I didn't. It would have made today hell for me, given my late Friday meetings, the weather, the traffic, the long drive both before and after the game, etc. During the regular season I typically exchange my tickets with others for the games I know or predict I won't be able to attend. Can't really do that with the playoffs.
thats unfortunate, but for the rest of us we just take the light rail and we're in downtown in 15 min. The rain sucks though ughh.
Really? Your fans are booing Rimando who is cut badly enough that a cut man in a boxing corner would be working hard to get it under control... stay classy.
I remember thinking during RSL's game against Herediano, "where's Sabo?" Because his absense was glaring in that game for RSL. This game I constantly am thinking "where's EJ?" This type of playoff game is basically the reason that Seattle got him bc they don't have players who can score in the air against difficult defenses in the playoffs,... and he's injured right before the playoffs. Sucks for you guys.
Meh. You should check out Ochoa's goals. Two excellent saves is the only thing that kept Ochoa from scoring...
