If the directiva had not sold Kikin and Lozano this wouldn't have happened. They made things worse by bringing in Marioni again. Hugo turned this club around and only to be treated like this by fans having stuff thrown at him it was disgusting! Hugo did too many good things with a squad that isn't even that great compared to most teams in Mexican futbol (the game vs america shows you the huge difference in star talent)

I think Hugo did many things for PUMAS, it's sad how quickly everyone forgot the back 2 back championships ......it's a shame what happened......
I think he is a great coach and leader and he will coaching again soon.....

Exactly. If it is Chivas or Spain I think he will do well.

I hope this works out for us. Despite the fact that I feel that Hugo was wrongly fired we have to move on and I sure hope España can make the best of what we've got.

PUMAS Official Thread Part III - Remembering the past, we now look to the future.

As the most colorful of threads in BigSoccer Mexico innaugurates its third version, let us take a moment of silence as we remember the wonderful 2004 we had and the lacklustre 2005 we are close to finishing.

Let us rejoice in memory of one of the greatest stages of our glorious club's existence.

Let us never forget who is in large part responsible for the wild success of 2004 as surely he will never forget us.

Well, my team is out...sigh, but you guys are are still in. I hope that things go well for you on the ninth. I will be watching the game hoping for your victory. Foremost I hope that the players and the new coach can organize themselves by next weeks game. The two teams have done well in the name of Mexican soccer, and we (all teams) will keep demonstrating how good the level of play is in Mexico. As for Hugo he did a great job with UNAM, and he will always be remembered as one of Mexico's greatest not only for his work in RM, but for his time while playing in Pumas. Carry on.

I don't know, but it looks wierd on TV. Totally empty, you can hear the players and coaches yelling on the pitch.

    Re: Hugo
Guess this clears that pesky time commitment thing that was getting in the way of directing El Tri.

Side bar question. Why the hell is the stadium as empty as a Kansas City Wizards match? The club get punished for something?

I really can't believe that people could be so stupid!the game was so creepy today, you could hear what every single person was saying. The absence of fans really does make a difference I guess.

The game was dedicated to Hugo......well that went well.

The highlights on Telefutura was hilarious. Showed one guy on a cell phone jumping after every goal. Brilliant.

...en verdad pumas a este ritmo es mejor que termine con puros suplentes los proximos partidos...y uno que otro titular...
