re: songs...pretty sure most of the shared songs by ECS/TA, originate or were used first by a euro/south american club. i can't name each one, but pretty sure we've both borrowed songs from other clubs.

I agree with you on the origins of some songs, but the TA most likely can claim "First."

The only ECS chant that is obviously taken directly from us is our version of Horto Magiko. I think they call it the Green and the Blue or some such and we call it North End noise. When we originally started doing the chant back in 06 or 07 when it originally happened, we ********ed it up. then in 09 when Seattle started doing it, theirs had the exact same ******** up that I've yet to see anywhere else.

Not that it matters, it's still Horto Magiko, and every club but panathanaikos has taken that from somebody else. Very few chants by MLS supporters are legit originals.

I was very impressed by the TA at the game on Saturday. Also impressed that there were no arrests at Qwest. Way to bring it.

And I really hope the Sounders get some injured players back before July 10 or it could be ugly.

    yeah, good point paul!

praise to all of us that were able to ignore the couple "too drunk for their own good" jackwagons.

glad it was mostly incident free, and seemingly free of anything major!!

You know how microphones work, right?

lulz at lame excuses. There were no mics in that section. If we got anything, it was out of the mics you used for your marching band.

From where I sat in 307, I don't believe for an instant that the TA was mic'd. Pretty much everyone in our section alternated between being annoyed by them and giving them a begrudging "Good for them" before just ignoring them.

I expect the ECS will give all of that back in spades come the game in Portland.

    This.

When you're watching on tv, humming along with the chants, and then realize the words are different and it's the ECS you hear, you just have to think, "WTF? They took that one too?" I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Sure, they may say they took it from somewhere else, but why would you ever want to start a chant/tune that you know your nearest rival uses?

Wow, your post history is devastatingly bereft of intelligent discussion. 6 total posts at this moment and all are some form of trolling vitriol.
