Where is our resident cuervo? Hiding after tonight's game no doubt... Even funes mori scores on you

After tonight, the all-time record between the clubs is 69 wins for river and 48 for CASLA in all official matches

I heard a moderately interesting rumor about San Lorenzo just now. My girlfriend who is in a program at Ideas del Sur was watching the game there and was told not to cheer River goals because Marcelo Tinelli is a big San Lorenzo fan. Well point is somebody who works there told her that it was Tinelli who threw down big money to bring in Caruso Lombardi to San Lorenzo. Just something I found interesting to share.

Back on the topic of long tournaments. The small clubs like them short because it gives them a chance to win a title. Remember Tigre almost won it in 2008. But these short tournaments were officialised before the Copa Sudamericana and Copa Argentina existed. So with more cups the smaller clubs have a shot at glory. Seeing River in la B has made me like the 38 game season a lot more. Being champion feels like being a champion when being the top team in a long season.

But to win something you always have as well as the best team or a little luck or in the case of some a little ayudita from the referee.Juve in the nineties were mere innocents..But I suppose I am biased Roncaglia doesnt have any hands. In Colombia he would be on a disability

Traca has been released from Everton and is back in Argentina. Hmm....Wonder if he can play for us, if so...

Is that so? Why did they release him?

I guess they are clearing room for future players, he was one of six players released by Everton. I mean, he was only on loan so he is back with Tigre but not sure if he is going to be allowed to play or not. I followed Everton a little bit after he moved, he hardly got games, he scored a couple times but their main striker is Jelavić who they had bought was scoring a lot for them. Traca was sitting on the bench of coming on late.

San Martín and San Lorezno lose today. Finally a weekend that has gone in the favor of Tigre. If Rafaela lose to Colon on Sunday, then Tigre are completely safe for at least a single week. Next 2 Primera games, away at Rafaela and home vs CASL. Crucial two weeks coming up.

Did Racing's barra really threaten Gio with a gun?

With San Martin (SJ)'s win today, San Lorenzo officially enters the direct relegation zone (San Martin & Tigre would be playing the promocion). They have 4 games left to save themselves..

They play Newell's this weekend, at El Nuevo Gasometro.

Many of you likely do not know (or care), but Newell's and San Lorenzo have lots of " mala leche," it is not an exaggeration to say that San Desenso is Nuels' 2nd' biggest rival.

Rest assured, Huracan fans out there, or River fans who are still ticked at Cuervo fan Ansalieri for jumping all over River after their defeat to Belgrano last year, La Lepra will make it very difficult for them tomorrow.

Urruti is back in but Sperduti is a doubt, which is troublesome for Newell's but for the fact that San Lorenzo sucks.

Can't believe Newell's has given up a 0-2 lead to San Lorenzo. Tigre 1-1 at Rafaela right now.

Unbelievable... Newell's throws it away completely and the title goes to boca. the only team that can stop them is arsenal. This will be the only time i will ever support grondona in anything.

I swear to God, Olimpo blow a 2-0 lead vs San San Martín and lose 3-2 and Newell's does the same vs San Lorenzo.

    Hey!
    SupaMario & RiverGaucho!!

    F you! ;)
Can't you see/feel me suffering here?

    2-0,should've been 3-0 on a bad offisdes call/goal disallowed.

San Descenso's 2nd goal came off a corner which was CLEARLY wrongly given.

But,Los Cuervos played a fantastic second half, and if Perrata isn't the fu(king Terminator between the sticks, they would've lost by more.

How the fuk do you blow a 2-0 lead?
Buffarini and Romagnoli were un-fu(king stoppable in the 2nd half. If SL go down, Newell's need to step it up and get that guy. Despite his awful, Spinal Tap haircut.

Well, that Godoy Cruz trip is a tough one, they always play the big teams hard.
Godoy Cruz win will keep things interesting.

Newell's blew a game they had won.

I ran 7 miles this AM, and even though i've had virtually an entire bottle of Chateaneuff de Pape, i'll probably go on another one right now.

I guess we have to handle our own business. At least San Lorenzo and San Martín face each other on the last day. But please chamigo, let your boys beat San Martín in a couple weeks. San Martín can probably be going straight down if they lose the last 2 games they have and if Tigre get results. But that away game against Velez worries me. If Velez was still in the libertadores I would not worry as much.

BTW I also didn't realize there is now 2 week break for international qualifiers? WTF is up with that?

Luckily my team is playing the copa argentina semi final on sunday against racing, that gives me something to look forward too, though i have to say a weekend off of futbol could be good, although it will just make the season drag on longer and its just prolonging the stress for many.

Unbelievable... Arsenal beat Argentinos 3-1 and are tied for the lead.

Next week they play Boca in what is basically a Final.

Can't believe I actually have to root for Arsenal...

Tied with one more game played. As long as we stay focused and take care of Banfield we'll stay in first place. Arsenal and All Boys should be tough games so I'm not going to get overly excited. I honestly can't decide which has been tougher for us, the tight race this torneo or getting to the semi's against Santos. The Copa Argentina lost some of it's luster recently......thanks for screwing that one up:rolleyes::D

Velez up 2-0 against Rafaela, now it's 2-1. Hope Velez hangs on.
