If they pay well, I'd tend to agree but for peanuts I wouldn't pass up on college. Then again, I may have when I was 18.

Thats the main problem with our system, people go to school over taking the risk. If we had more divisions that could provide players with the opportunity when they failed it would be different but we just dont have it so most play it safe.

Its weird because our Baseball system is the complete 100% system we need for soccer and we just dont have it and nobody has realized that we need it.

In that youth tournament, if we are talking about the goal scored by #10 against Tottenham u19. It was Daniele Verde, Di Mariano was wearing the #11.

Surprised you guys were bounced in the Group Stage of the Viareggio tourney. I really considered you guys to be one of the favorites. Livorno... Who knew?

Italy's U21 are staying in Rome this weekend for training and will play a friendly against our primavera on Tuesday. Stefano Sabelli and Federico Viviani have been called up.

Paredes is fit to play finally, today he played a practice match and apparently scored an amazing goal. We should see him in Serie A soon.

Tallo scored 2 goals today against Lille, still lost to a Hattrick by Kalou.

Does anyone know how Jedvaj has been doing(in terms of development)? I was wondering if he will actually play next year or if we will buy a 3rd centerback.

I don't think Jedvaj is a real candidate for CB3 for the next year or two. I think the reason he hasn't been loaned out yet is that he is too young. Jedvaj looked solid as a CB in the preseason, and Rudi even slid him upfield into a midfield role because his technique is way better than the average CB, but I'm pretty sure we're just waiting until he's old enough to loan somewhere and earn his stripes. Playing him in primavera would be a waste because he's so talented, and he has clearly lost out to Romagnoli as the utility defender behind Torosidis.

Edit: Perhaps the expression "earn his stripes" is not appropriate when referring to a player in Italy.

I think Jedvaj wanted out on loan in the winter but Rudi convinced him to stay and that he has plans for him. He has been playing in the Primavera occasionally but mostly sitting on the 1st team bench. One of him or Romagnoli will be loaned out this summer I think, maybe even both if Toloi and Astori are bought.

Not really meant for this thread but while we're on the subject does anyone know about Aymeric Laporte? Really good player for Athletic Bilbao only 19 and already starting with the first team.

Rudi recently suggested that Jed was dropped from the first team roster due to poor attitude during training. He was not with the team for Inter.

"ROMA JEDVAJ GARCIA / ROMA - Nella lista dei convocati da Rudi Garcia per la partita Roma-Inter non figura il nome di Tin Jedvaj. L'edizione odierna de 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' spiega che il tecnico francese avrebbe deciso di punire in questo modo l'atteggiamento 'svogliato' mostrato dal difensore in allenamento."

Tin Jedvaj will not even on the bench in anticipation of Saturday night at the Olimpico with Inter. His exclusion is a technical decision taken by the coach of Roma, RudiGarcia who according to the Gazzetta dello Sport that wants to punish the young Serbian defender, too lazy to training.

Viviani last week had a good game with Latina. He scored a goal and added an assist. (His goal is at 3:03)

Eusebio might give him a go, since all the other options in attack have been impotent and they need new spark to stay in the league.
