Nice touch for Yossi but he seems to be a little bit a headless chicken thus far. Didnt know that the NFL had such a toehold in Germany. I knew there was something weird about Germany and it has nothing to due with their love of David Hasselhoff

ruins a fantastic recovery tackle from Bruma as well

    Hilario 75
    JT 25

    apportionment of stupidity

I tend to think it's more a matter of those that do love it REALLY loving it rather than the numbers. It was the same over here back in the 80's for a few years when a few people went mad for it, (or so they said.. can't say as I ever met anyone, tbh), and then everyone forgot about it. They then started again in the late 90's IIRC and it folded again a few years later.

BTW was that JT cocking that up a minute ago? Looked like he got FAR too close to the keeper before passing to him. The commentator said it was Hilario's fault but it looked just as much a balls-up by JT to my mind.

I'd have said 66/33 but, whatever... hopefully JT's not going to continue his WC form :(

OK! Now THAT was Hilario's fault with the 'clearance' (looked more like a pass, tbh), just now.

Anelka's trying to dribble past 5 men, Kalou and Malouda are back to their 'best' form of a few years back , Mikel can't pass for toffee atm, (usually his strong point), Jerkoff is living up to his name, Hilario likewise and the defense is all over the place.

I just keep reminding myself, "It's only preseason, it's only preseason."

It's games like this that make you realise how much we're gonna miss Frank when he goes :(

What do you mean? Don't you know Frank is fat, terrible, overrated and not to be counted among the best players in the world?

what worries me the most is the lack of confidence displayed by the keepers and the general crap play on display by some of the more "experienced" players

Just started watching before the end of the first. Thought this game was on the 3rd of August.

the first goal was comical defending

Hilario passed it straight to them for a great chance for a second. He made one good save and then appeared to push a follow up shot onto the post.

Frankfurt also had a great chancee towards the end of the half

as stated earlier- Bruma has been the only one to impress imo. Got a little tight on a flick header but has done quite well compared to the other dross.

First Turnbull, now Hilario . I miss Cudicini so much , he was a really good No.2 goalkeeper.

Why exactly are we playing a longball game through Mikel?

No one really impressed. Did we even have a shot on goal? It was nice to see Benayoun and Zhirkov start but they didnt make anything of it. Repeat to yourself, "Its only a friendly, Its only a friendly......"
