Alex, Santos, Atouba, Thompson, Bone, Jumper, Kinney, Paladini and Videira that's nine players who stayed in....
Is it just me or is Friedrich and Berry switched for this game? I thought Berry usually plays LCB and Friedrich RCB. Perhaps I am dreaming. Thrown off with Pause at LB.
Videira, Kinney, Jumper, Bone, Thompson, Paladini, Alex, Santos, and Atouba all on Tornaghi Videira-Kinney-Friedrich-Jumper Bone-Thompson-Paladini-Atouba Alex-Santos Appears to be the line up. Not sure If Bone or Thompson is out wide is the only question mark. Edit: looks like Thompson is in the middle
Who got the captain's armband Paladini or Friedrich? I thought that Kinney was a RB and Videira was a midfielder, what's the deal with players playing out of position?
Kann will be the third keeper, just signed....so when Johnson is gone for National duty he'll back up Tornaghi....
What's so difficult about keeping the ball on-screen? I could live with bad camera work as long as the ball is on the screen so I have an idea of what's going on.
Not sure about his status for this game, but from what I've heard (not much), I don't think it's likely he actually signs. I really doubt he's a solution for us at RB.
Kinney started out as a CB, was playing at RB basically because there was no space for him in the center. http://www.chicago-fire.com/news/2010/03/fire-feature-steven-kinney Videira is listed as a DM, but according to this, he played games as a fullback back in 2011 http://www.hottimeinoldtown.com/2012/2/1/2736409/chicago-fire-roster-projection-updated Doesn't say who is captain right now
On the Friedrich thing, are we sure he was on the left first half? For what its worth, he is listed on the right side on the team sheet. If he's playing on the left now, it might just be because he is paired with Kinney, who almost certainly is a right footed player, given he also plays RB
Friedrich played on left entire first half with Berry on RCB. Maybe to cover for Pause or for Berry to cover Anibaba hehehe.
I wonder if Santos and Alex are going to talk to each other in Portuguese, and if that will help at all. Crandall noted during the last game that Alex spoke in pretty broken english when he had asked why he chose the number he did, to the point that Jeff wasn't quite sure what he was saying
Even though they frequently switch and cover each others space it was kind of odd.Speaking Arne played RB much of his career (and Berry has played LB) , I think it is good to switch guys up in preseason and see how they cover space in roles they usually dont play.It may come down to them filling those roles at times in the season.
yes, it is...some woman was doing it Saturday night right behind us. there is a different camera person in the cherry picker across from the camera, doing requested taping for MLS coaches. Our usual announcer is our club president and is English, so he knows his stuff. He used to do games for Fox Soccer too. Don't know who the two drones are on there tonight. school night and everyone is on the west side
