I think that he knows his passing has been crap and that things haven't been coming off for him all match and now he's become self-aware and it's building up and getting to him. Something has to go right to stop him thinking about it and just get on with playing. RvP looks like he's back playing with an Arsenal CF pairing
Rooney's problem isn't outlets. Yeah, they have been bad, but he is still making those passes. He has been bad in and around the box.
