Fletch and Young starting, no Welbeck or Cleverley again. Why SAF?

Also, why is SAF the only one who thinks Lindegaard is the superior keeper? DDG offers so much more thank Anders and needs the experience.

Great lineup all around. This will lineup will really benefit Young. He won't have to worry too much about defending and will get a fair bit of time and space in this game. Anderson should give us some much needed thrust through the middle from the middle third to final third of the field.

Lindegaard plays more because SAF wants to believe he is king at spotting "value". Value like Ashley Young and Phil Jones.

We don't have a number 1 keeper. Fergie tosses his lucky coin before every match...

...he uses ip dip for the midfield.

Maybe he plans to sell Lindegaard so we can finally purchase Stewart Downing.

Those crying for Danny, what has he done to earn his spot in a 3-man attack?

    SAF's goalie strategy:

Start keeper A until he makes a mistake or until we lose against an average or below average team. Then switch to keeper B until he makes a mistake or until we lose against an average or below average team.

Yeah, brilliant strategy. Instill fear of failure instead of confidence in a position that relies heavily on confidence. Brilliant.

It's true Danny hasn't always shone when pushed wider.....but I think the general consensus is that Young has been worse. Young has a lot to prove just to be considered a Man Utd squad player.

And what has Young done to deserve that spot? You must be a fan of giving away possession, misplacing passes, crossing to nobody, and not looking like a threat whatsoever. ;)

I prefer Danny to Young, but it isn't like Danny has done anything to claim the spot. Young has simply down worse.

Danny creates so many chances just through workrate, intelligence and athleticism.

Even when he plays poorly, he creates a handful of chances.

When Danny is playing poorly he whiffs on the three or four great chances his teammates make for him and consistently loses the ball attempting to dribble.

Our midfield is what I would have wanted 5 years ago looking into the future but both of Ando and Fletch developing better.

Fletch was developing fine. Then his body rejected it.

...and Young contributes early by hitting his shot out for a throw in (almost).
