Jones on, Ando off. SAF laughing at the idea of winning this game apparently.

RVP should have went with Cheech instead of Danny there.

Phil Jones and Ashley Young are brothers from different mothers.

WTF is Phil Jones doing dribbling into a crowd when we have a fast break on?

Good thing Evans has a brain and bailed us on that Evra mishap.

So what is the Cafe going to complain about with a performance like that from Jonny?

I also like how we scored early and thus played progressively worse.

Eh, wins a win but that was kinda ugly. Our offense and defense never have good games at the same time.

Obviously room for a lot of improvement in certain areas, but a lot of positives to take from the game (compared to the last few).....and another 3pts.

No goals allowed and we're still in 1st place, other than that little to be happy about.

That setup was fundamentally flawed, you cant have Hernandez as your outlet, you need your outlet to be pacy with technical ability like Barca with Messi so ideally Nani but not then Welbeck. Hernandez has nothing to do with this kind of setup.

Rooney is not good enough a playmaker when asked to pass short and break a team by movement rather than in out bang we are used to.
You cannot have a non product wingback like Evra.

Thought Anderson, Rafael and the two CBs did well.

Rafael certainly did well considering he was 1 on 1 against a tricky winger for 90% of the game.

It's funny, the very same summer United dump Berbatov they start playing a system that's perfect for him.

I would've loved to have seen him in the 4-1-3-2.

Upside down game. Normally the other team scores early and we get better and score late. Instead we score early, play pretty well but a shambles by the end.

The RVP role you mean, drifting everywhere ? Of course it is not as simple as a change of personnel but put Nani in RVP role and put RVP in Hernandez role, put Rodriguez in Cleverley and Kagawa in for Rooney (in this sort of setup, we love a 442 with Kagawa for some reason) and you would see improvement.
But that would also means a weaker center as Anderson and Carrick get exposed (though West Ham had no intention of playing through the middle), against 15-16 teams of this league it would work imo.

It is seriously frustrating that we got a mis mash of players who fully suit no style of play, we cant play 11 and think okay these guys can form this style of play and that is SAF fault.

    Ashley Young was utter shit.

Jonny Evans should no longer be "our future" captain. He is the captain now. Carrick has no balls, Evra is a poor shadow of his self, etc. Evans should be captain whenever Vidic is out.

    God bless RvP.

And naturally, in one of Phil Jones' first game back, he shows the idiocy and irresponsibility that characterizes his game. Dribbling headfirst into 3 players when we need to preserve a lead? Are you ********ing serious? ********ing guy needs to learn some positional discipline, and soon.
