Yes but indirect fk is much better to concede than a goal. Also he could have headed it or simply made himself big or do anything other than jump over the ball. He also could have read the back pass. But that would take a great keeper. Which he isn't yet.
Read the back pass, used his head. You will do anything to try and avoid the fact that Carrick ********ed up royally. That was on Carrick. He was the one with the obvious, easiest options and he messed it up.
