I would take the opportunity to rest RvP or possibly Wayne and play Cheech again. He is in good form and it is weaker opposition. We will have plenty of games in the coming weeks for our first xi.

RVP hasn't played in 10 days, he's definitely starting.

I don't see any reason not to limit him to a sub appearance or an early exit if possible. If he goes down we have next to no chance against Madrid and that means $$$. Like I said he will be pulling two games a week soon enough, given his injury record, I'd rather not tempt fate.

Evans and Young still out but otherwise I think we are healthy. They didn't have a game at the weekend so they're rested, apparently they went to Spain for some R+R with their new manager.

I'm all for early sub if things go well. But you don't rest a player for 2 weeks that scored 11 goals in last 11 games. He's had a pretty light workload lately anyway

Yeah I suppose that makes sense. I'm just nervous.

i'd like for welbeck to start and score - for his own psyche, really. he's got 1 in 25 appearances, self doubt will inevitably creep in if he doesn't open the flood gates soon.

I get what you are saying, but I hope that's not the case, hopefully SAF has been in his ear. He's been good this season, particularly off the bench and he hasn't played much as a striker.

Fergie will have them well up for this one now after the result today.

I am afraid of that, play naturally and we will win, tentative nervous would cost us.

I am thinking RVP, Kagawa, Danny and Valencia start this, with RVP, Rooney and Nani starting this weekend.

So dropping points at home to a bottom tier team is what champions are made of? Worked out well for us last year, didn't it?

we already did that this year to Norwich...

don't know what you are so worked up about. 3pts dropped vs anyone top or bottom is still 3pts at the end...

With RvN on this. It's a team with a new manager who have some ability at getting crappy draws out of teams. I hope it doesn't happen to us, but that attitude about "we don't deserve the championship" is nonsense. We've dropped those so-called easy points every single year we've ever won a title.

If we are going to play RvP then I want to see this:

    Danny-----------------RvP------------------Nani
    -------------------------Wazza
    ------------------Carrick------Ando
