Got to count Newcastle too. We only got one point from them last season

That's an anomaly, over the years we've done well against them. I also think that Chelsea have also played them so no real biggie.

If we had one decent winger/wing-forward yesterday we'd have scored at least 4.

We usually never lose to spurs at Old Trafford :p

No it is a fair point.... But they finished 5th last year and in my mind was a tough away game. They are a much, much better side these days.

Interestingly enough we have played the whole top half of the table from last year apart from Shitty and West Brom (10th). We have the potential to go on a big run if we play well.

Well he's their most mature defender but man he's still so flawed.

There's just so much fail about Arsenal. The Podolski signing in particular. He's been wank in every single big match so far.

Hey, it's not like Germany have a bunch of young talent that Wenger could've signed and developed.

They probably don't see Arsenal as a destination club any longer.

There are rumors that Holtby might be on his way but with Wilshire there that doesn't make sense.

Wenger tried to go the experienced route after signing so much youth over the years he completely neglected that, that's exactly where the talent is now in Germany.

    L. Bender, Schuerrle, Hoewedes, Ter Stegen.

Boom, new and improved Arsenal side for years to come.

Well he is not, but Wenger is doing a Nani on Koscielny to accomodate worse players.

johno, on that note, I will update my 90-point table soon.

As much as I rate him, he has had an awful start for the reason, either given up goals or have been very willing to get a red card.

Same as Nani, he is a confidence player as well. Giving him the odd minute or playing him out of the position.

Essentially, Wenger's decision to give Vermaelen the captaincy is the issue.

looking back at this match you would think both teams had a Champions League semi-final on tuesday/wednesday. so pedestrian.

also highlights how far apart the teams have diverged in the last 6-7 seasons
