#MUFC XI v AV: De Gea / Rafael, Ferdinand, Smalling, Evra / Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Young / Rooney / RVP #MUTV
Yeah, they took out United listings, I think they are relisting it with another stream. I'll update along.
I'm worried about being open to counter attacks. So weird that we don't use Scholes in the diamond when he'd have the least pressure on him, but use him in the wide open 442. Also, I put a short preview up on the blog. Trying to ease back into it.
Carrick and Scholes in midfield. Thats almost suicidal. Rooney will have to damn near play BEHIND them.
Carrick is the best CM in the team. By quite some way. He's also the best at protecting the back four. Scholes isn't bad at placing himself in the way, what we will need from Rooney and indeed from Tony and Ashley is lots of work to win the ball back. The only problems Carrick and Scholes will have against teams of this nature is getting caught up the field or in loads and loads of space against a pacy attacker on the break. jeff070 I was just about to post that.
Dead serious, they're our best midfielders on the ball but also our slowest. I dont like the pairing in a flat 442.
They do when there are massive gaps between the defense behind them and the attackers in front of them as is the case with us a lot of the time.
Am I the only who finds it ridiculous that people thank current troops for their efforts in protecting freedom? Are people really that silly?
When they're being exposed without any cover in a. 2-man midfield. We're the only big club that still plays 2 in midfield. I think you need to pair a DLP with a box to box to maximize that formation.
I also love the gunshot wound(aka "poppy") that people pin to their shirts in Britain around that time.
