Does anyone know if there are plans for any special events at the home games besides the fireworks on 7/4 and 7/21? My family and I really enjoyed the One Republic concert last year and I'm hoping that something like that may be in the works for this year.
Absolutely! Next home game, if I recall correctly, will be very special. Before and after half time we all all be treated to 45 minutes of the beautiful game of soccer starring the members of our very own Real Salt Lake! If you like OneRepublic or David Archuleta then you will love RSL. Don't miss the opportunity! Also, this will be happening every home game after that as well.
I guess I deserve that for the stupid topic. For what it's worth, the "premier" tag was one created by the front office in their add for a 4 game package on the RSL website. And, while I plan on attending every game possible, at times a little extra incentive helps get soccer newbies into the stadium.
It's not a stupid topic. Someone will come along that knows more than me and answer your question. I've enjoyed the little extra events that get appended to my season tickets, but none of them can compare to the main event
I don't think they schedule these things too far in advance. Wasn't the OneRepublic game supposed to happen like 2 or 3 weeks after they announced it? They then had to reschedule, but I am pretty sure it was a "hey, look, come check these guys out in just a few weeks".
I'd be a fan of these 'premier' events if they'd actually bring in some bands I liked. But hey it does get extra people into the seats, and so far out of all the people I've convinced to go see a game, all of them were interested in coming again.
