Jonas out as well, possible injury according to reports.
ESPN2 is carrying the game.
James Perch scores when he wants. 4'
De Gea left up a big rebound on a 25 yd shot from Ba. Ba double-pumped the take as well.
25' Ugly ManU goal off a free kick that was headed down into everyone's feet. Chicharito jumped on the deflection, Krul saved but Evans was there for the rebound. 1-1.
Ba comes right back with a shot from outside that goes just wide. Da Gea looks ripe for the taking if we keep up the pressure.
you're f*kin Kidding me!
I stand corrected!
Evans scores for both teams
Johnny Evans with a disallowed own goal as Cisse was....offside and interfering with play.
Then Mike Dean gives the goal. Sir Alex sits like a stone gargoyle chomping his gum.
36' Evans booked for handball. Carrick should have been for kicking ball away.
38' Little Sweet Pea booked. Marveaux went on a 30yd dash and upended by Chicharito at top of box.
Marveaux rattled the crossbar with the free kick.
43' Willo booked. Suspended?
Suspended-yes. Jonas, if available next game, will have to avoid a booking.
1-2 at the half. Just where things should be in my opinion. This game looks more like we're the home team against ManU. They seem to control play in fits and starts, but have no flair to make an attack once down to our box. Without Rooney, RVP seems to not be able to go on mazy runs and get behind the defense. Giggs and Scholes are probably too old to be playing in weather like this. When we attack, we're finding wide open spaces (Simpson's shot for the OG, Simmo blasting over from 10yds out with no one in front of him), playing subtle balls for our attackers to get on to. We can't afford to shut up shop because, like in the first half, they're one free kick away from tying the game. As long as we keep Da Gea off balance and attack the box for rebounds we should get the 3rd goal we need.
M: Lindegaard, Vidic, Wootton, Cleverley, Fletcher, Buttner, Tunnicliffe.
N: Elliot, Tavernier, Ferguson, Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Campbell, Shola Ameobi.
Just getting tuned in on ESPN 3. Fergie was pitching a fit to very official he could find before the half started. Not sure what he's wound up about.
and Ol Red Nose is throwing a hissy fit at the assistant referee in regards to the second goal.
He really is a twat. Really had the goal been given initially he wouldn't be or couldn't be, complaining.
53' Valencia booked.
The own goal. Linesman flagged rightly for Cisse being offside but Dean ruled (wrongly IMO) that he didn't effect play.
He was really having kittens.
58' Evra levels from a mile outside the box. I guess Xmas break is over for ManU. Perch had a shitty clearance right to the feet of Evra and Ba didn't get a challenge in.
61' Simpson booked for kicking Evans. Could have killed him there.
63' Why wasn't RVP booked for the professional foul on Bigi there?
64' Cisse booked.
65' Gabby for Bigi. Marveaux moving inside.
that's the Cisse we all know and love!
Cisse breaks his duck!!!
68' Beautiful goal off a throw in. Obertan ran down the left, cut the ball back into the box and Cisse scores with his new Xmas boots.
Seriously, what the Jekyll and Hyde s**t is this
71' Colo took and hand to the face at midfield and was out of position for the attack that resulted in an RVP goal.
Shola on for Ba.
