It would be interesting to see some predictions of starting line-ups for the coming season. (Mods, I hope this is in the right section etc)
Rapids is a pure guess right now, but I'll throw one out there, based on our current roster: Castrillon - Buddle - HarrisThomas - Rivero - CascioCalderon - Moor - Wynne - MullanPickens Now there are ruors that we've traded Avila's rights for LaBrocca's rights, and I can see LaBrocca taking Cascio's position between Thomas and Rivero. Castrillon is on the trading block, so Cascio could move up there.
In the scenario where he starts he'd be a winger with Thomas and Rivero handling the middle duties. Like I said, its just a guess based on who Pareja seems to like.
4-4-2 formation --MacDonald--------Rolfe-- ------------Lindpere--------- --Alex---------------Nyarko-- ----------Larentowicz-------- -Segares-Berry-Arne-Anibaba- -------------Johnson------------ 4-2-3-1 formation (I hope that it's not this formation) -------------MacDonald----------- --Nyarko----Lindpere-----Rolfe-- ------Pause--------Larentowicz---- -Segares-Berry-Arne-Anibaba- -------------Johnson--------------
Sounders guess: -------------Johnson----------- --Zakuani----Evans-----Rosales-- ------Alonso-------Tiffert------- Gonzalez-Hurtado-Ianni-Johansson -------------Gspurning--------------
With no Beckham replacement yet, the Galaxy could start the season: -----------Keane----Donovan Magee------------------------------Clark ----------Juninho------Sarvas Dunivant--AJDLG--Gonzalez--Franklin ----------------Cudicini If healthy, all of those are a lock except Clark. Zardes or Villareal could force their way into that lineup and squeeze Clark off the field... Of course, a Lampard or Kaka would also slide him to the bench...
Yeah that seems about right, but I kind of feel that Zardes or Villareal have a better shot at starting. And I base that on absolutely nothing
I expect San Jose will look much the same to start 2013 as they did in 2012... -----------Gordon ----- Wondolowski Salinas ------ Cronin ------ Baca ------ Chavez Morrow - Bernardez - Hernandez - Beitashour --------------------Busch
my Union prediction: Le Toux - Casey- McInerneyM. FarfanOkugo - CarrollG. Farfan- Soumare - Parke- WilliamsMacMath
Dynamo guess Same as MLS Final except Omar for Carr IF 4-3-3.. Bump OBG to FW Cummings - Bruin Davis - Moffat - Clark - OBG Ashe - Taylor - Boswell - Sarkodie Hall That's if Cummings is ready to start
Sporting Kansas City, when everyone is healthy and no one is away on national team duty: Convey - Bieler - KamaraFeilhaber - Nagamura - ZusiSinovic - Besler - Collin - MyersNielsen Bench: Sapong, Peterson, Joseph, Rosell, Gardner, Opara, Kronberg U24 squad, even if none of the supplemental draft picks sign: Saad - Bunbury - DwyerLopez - Rosell - JosephMiller - Opara - Songo'o - EllisKempin Opara and Miller are the only ones who have already turned 23; Bunbury will do so next month, and Opara will turn 24. Sapong turned 24 at the end of December.
I don't see it. With us keeping Giles around, I think Dom gives him a chance to start the season: Traditional Dynamo 4-4-2 Cummings--Bruin ---Barnes Davis----OBG --Clark Ashe--Taylor--Boswell--Sarkodie Hall 4-3-3 Cummings--Bruin--OBG Davis--Barnes --Clark Ashe--Taylor--Boswell--Sarkodie Hall
I'm with Naranja on this one...or maybe that's just what I WANT to see, and we'll actually see what is expected (Levy2k6's post). I hardly rate Moffat but Dom seems to love the guy.
Salt Lake is a little crazy. Right now, if everyone's healthy, it'd be something like ----------Saborio----??????----------- ---------------Morales----------------- ------Grabavoy----Viana/Velasquez/Martinez -------------Beckerman---------------- Wingert--Borchers--Schuler--Beltran --------------Rimand0----------------- Findley likely isn't a starter, so we're still waiting to see who the #2 striker will be. The middle of the diamond is up in the air. Grabavoy probably starts, and then there are a bunch of options for who lines up on the other side. Borchers is out for 3 months, and Kwame Watson-Siriboe will replace him. Wingert is hurt, too; Mansally is his likely replacement. I might have people on the wrong side of the field. I can't remember who's left/right footed for some reason.
Dunno.. I like the idea floated by Ajas of: -----------EJ------------------------- ----------------------Rosales--------- Zakuani----------------------Martinez -------------Alonso/Tiffert------------- Gonzalez--Hurtado/Ianni--Johansson ---------------Gspurning---------------
As was the case throughout most of 2012, Steven Lenhart will likely start rather than Alan Gordon. -G
Impact guess: --------------------------di Vaio Smith/Mapp -------- Felipe -------- Pisanu -------------------Bernier - Warner Iapichino/Brovsky - Nesta - Ferrari - Camara ---------------------------Perkins Wonder what happens if Rivas is healthy. That whole left side is unclear.
Yeah, probably. Wishful thinking I guess, because I think Gordon is a better target for the team to play off of. His age and injury issues probably keep him from being a consistent starter though. Dawkins still isn't back with the team. If he was, then yeah, he'd probably start at LM.
