Substitutes: Ross Turnbull, David Luiz, John Mikel Obi, Romelu Lukaku, Paulo Ferreira, Sam Hutchinson, Yossi Benayoun, Lucas Piazon.

interesting that Yossi and Piazon make the bench

They clearly hold Piazon in high regards. Won't be surprised if he's listed First team member soon .

    Too predictable atm.

EDIT: I know its early days but I hope that the team doesn't rely on Hazard as some new savior. Nor Mata. These guys can get kicked out of/double marked out of games. We lack width from the fullbacks still and a real crosser from either flank.

    commentary is shocking

fyi- in case anyone was wondering- the stadium had to limit capacity as several of the local resources were used for the Olympics.

Not only that. Too many passes to feet instead of into space (i.e. nobody is making any runs, apart from Hazard) The midfield is literally in a line of 4/5 on defense, leaving no options on the counter attack. Again I know it's preseason...

knocking it around alright through the back into midfield but we get very static in the final third

Essien movement is like, at snail pace. Lack of mobility in the middle is killing our approach, and they won't sell Essien due to African supporter base..

Off the ball movement is still pretty static and like Mr okocha was said we arent creating space with runs into space.

Bring on Marin already. Why play Meireless RDM?

Marin is allegedly injured and held out as a precaution

probably more of a case of finding someone who wants to take a chance on his injuries and wages at the same time

both he and Malouda will be difficult to move based on their respective wages
