Good sub. Abby has looked subpar today.

It's too bad Little plays for Scotland. I really enjoyed watching her play for Great Britain in the Olympics and wish we could see her play more often.

First mistake by Sauerbrunn results in the Scotland goal. I was about to comment on how she hadn't turned the ball over all day.

Granted, that was a poor clearance. But I do appreciate how she keeps possession of the ball normally, compared to Beuhler's hoofing it upfield.

54' 3-1 #10 Beattie crosses under duress from 14m box left to 6-top center. Sauerbrunn(?) swings waist-high roundhouse, volley-hooks ball clear -- but lays down a bunt into a huge void at 15m center. #8 Kim Little runs on first from above box top, blasts a riser through traffic into the upper right 90. Welp -- wide-open shot, either it'll hit something in the way or not.

55' 3-1 USA subs in (3 of 6) #12 Lauren Cheney for #20 Abby Wambach.

How does one report that without laughing? That's NHL bad. Bill Belichick and the Shanahans are going to try that.

Then watch her play for Scotland or Arsenal, who are still in the Champions' League.

Oh crud. I have feed problems and missed Boxxy's goal. Also, which defender passed the ball to Little? I could not tell. And shouldn't have Barnhart had that ball?

If Becky had looked up there, she had time to take a second touch...

Almost a hat trick. Good save by the keeper.

More bad defense allows a great chance for Scotland.

58' 3-1 Scotland test O'Hara down box right, cross to 9m right post. Rampone lunge-heads clear, her follow-through pancakes #?, no call.

59' 3-1 USA chip over midfield and hit Leroux(?) streaking down box left. Just before endline, she crosses into traffic, USA 1-v-1 manage to backheel it to Press at 14m 6-left. Press scrambles like a QB out of the pocket, goes centerward to box top center, shoots hard slightly left of center, Faye nearly wrong-footed but palms it down. Cheney hops into a 1-v-3, but never has angle to shoot, and Faye smothers it.

Do they not understand the gameplan? Clear out and let Press get number three!

Was that Press that disrupted that near-goal for the US? Couldn't tell, but 2 US players run into each other in the box after a nice setup by Leroux.

60' 3-1 Scotland outraces O'Hara or Sauerbrunn through box top mid-right, to 14m still with a 1-step lead, but shoot wide left.

63' 3-1 Leroux surges down through 6-top left, defender does well to occlude her shot. She lays off square to 6m center -- Lloyd comes back for it just at the worst-possible time, collides with Press charging unmarked down the pipe. Not even a shot, ball bounces backward.

Yeah, one of them was facing away from the goal, the other was in position for a pretty easy finish. Still not sure which was which from this web stream.
