Solid half for Boxx and Krieger. Both were calm and steady. Press is a goal magnet, if you don't allow defenders to sit on her. She did get out muscled a couple of times. Abby needs Rapinoe serving her balls. It's that plain and simple.

    I like the new coach.

I agree. Rampone has not looked sharp in months and even today the defense looks a bit out of sorts. Maybe that is due to some rustiness but it's not like the defense hasn't looked this way lately, because it has. I don't want to criticize Krieger yet because she is just getting back into the swing of things on this team, but that isn't to say I would not like to see Dunn get a shot. Hopefully she will on Wednesday. The middle of the defense has been the issue for a while though.

46' 2-0 USA subs in (2 of 6) #18 Nicole Barnhart for #21 Jill Loyden.
46' 2-0 Action resumes while cheesy music continues. Webstream misses the 2H kickoff itself. USA surges to box top center, Scotland clears, USA pings at midfield.

I don't quite get why you'd sub the goalkeeper in a game with no action on her end, but okay.

50' 2-0 Krieger crosses from box top wide right. #? dummies at box top center, ball drops to Leroux(?) at 14m mid-left. She controls, squares to Heath, who yanks her shot way high.

52' 3-0 O'Hara settles a bouncer just inside box top left, pokes it out to Boxx at 20m arc left. Boxx settle-taps the high dropping ball to bounce softly in front of her, steps forth and half-volleys on the upbeat, rockets a golazo into the upper left corner.

Caps, experience, just a chance to see how each handles the game.... Solo's still technically our #1, so I bet Tom's seeing who's the better backup.

Christen Press scored both goals, huh? Gawd, that girl is horrible! She does not deserve another chance at the squad...;) /s

    Oh, and good for her.

Yes. But in a friendly you are allowed six subs. Wouldn't you rather get all six field subs some playing time in a game where the goalkeeper hasn't been tested?

    Barnhardt is a known commodity.
