There are no suspensions on either side. Yellow cards will be wiped out before the Cup final but a red card would still result in a suspension. The winner moves on to MLS Cup 2013 on December 7. If KC wins they will host the Cup final. If Houston wins the Cup final will be at Real Salt Lake or Portland Timbers.
Dynamo @ Kansas City, all-time: 07/15/06 KCW 2-3 HOU 06/24/07 KCW 0-1 HOU 04/12/08 KCW 0-0 HOU 07/04/09 KCW 0-1 HOU 09/22/10 KCW 4-3 HOU 09/10/11 SKC 3-0 HOU 11/06/11 SKC 0-2 HOU, playoffs 07/07/12 SKC 0-0 HOU 09/14/12 SKC 1-1 HOU 11/7/12 SKC 1-0 HOU, playoffs 05/26/13 SKC 1-1 HOU That's 4-3-4 with 12 goals scored and 12 allowed.
That has to be one of the best road records we have. It's incredible that we didn't lose a road match up there 'till 2010.
Our best road records are in Chicago (4-2-4) and Philly (2-1-2). We are .500 in New England (2-2-6) and Portland (1-1-0). I think those are our best road records.

Just a random note, this is from a story at MLSsoccer.com. Is this correctly written? Shouldn't it say something like "a positive result?" "Any decision" could be a loss, right? I don't believe they would move on with a loss.... Sporting will advance to their first MLS Cup final since 2004 with any decision – in regulation, overtime or penalties – against Houston on Nov. 23 (7:30 pm ET; NBCSN), after the two sides battled to a scoreless draw last weekend at BBVA Compass Stadium. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...ting-status-ailing-midfielder-peterson-joseph
Awful. I've railed against "result" for years. A loss is a result. Now they are expanding that to "decision".
Everyone hates Houston. Many people want to change the playoffs just so Kinnear doesn't destroy any more of their teams. Kinnear is the destroyer of MLS Cup hopes.
The referee crew has been announced...discuss... Eastern Conference Championship, leg two Sporting Kansas City vs. Houston Dynamo Sporting Park (7:30 pm ET, NBCSN) REFEREE: Baldomero Toledo ASSISTANT 1: Kermit Quisenberry ASSISTANT 2: Frank Anderson FOURTH: Edvin Jurisevic
At this point, the refereeing situation in MLS is so terrible that I can't even say if Toledo is good or bad. He does have some inexplicable calls, but then they all do. He'll not let the match get out of hand though.
I used to think Toledo was the spawn of Satan. But I think he has gotten more consistent. In a different match-up I might prefer someone else. But with KC I'm not really upset about having a ref who goes to his pocket frequently. If the referee had pulled appropriate yellow or red cards in the first leg, the prospects for the second leg would be entirely different.
Western Conference Championship final leg 2 Portland Timbers vs. Real Salt Lake JELD-WEN Field (9:00pm ET) REFEREE: MARK GEIGER ASST 1: Sean Hurd ASST 2: Corey Parker 4TH: Jair Marrufo This blows.
Good story below. I'm pretty much through ever doubting Dom's ability to run the team. http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/socce...-kinnear-lets-his-team-do-the-talking?cc=5901
I feel for Dom because he's not much to self promote, so in the past he hasn't received the recognition he deserves. I mean have you seen Sigi's playoff record? Have you seen how much fanfare awaited Caleb Porter when he came to the MLS? Meanwhile league wise Kinnear usually only gets a passing mention in the media and the scorn of opposing fans.
