You guys are acting like this is the second leg? Well -- it kinda makes sense since this is our opportunity to build a lead and take something into LSP to defend. Neither SEA nor DCU were able to do that.

We all know that first legs are tight tactical affairs. We all know that twice as many goals are scored in second legs than first legs. So while I will not be surprised by a one-goal or even goalless game I fervently want a two-goal lead after today. One-goal lead would be ok, but if I were SKC I'd be ok with that result as well. A draw still gives us a chance, but a loss is deep doodoo.

In the end I expect a tight tense game that leads to an incredible culmination as LSP on Wednesday.

Having said all that -- my operative theory of MLS playoffs is that the knockout game leaves the winner without sufficient energy to match the #1 seed. I'm trying to suspend that theory for the Dynamo and furthur hope I'm wrong. But in the end -- despite the energy issues -- only one team really embraces Noodle time. And that shall be the difference.

Good luck to the men in Orange! I know you'll do your best today.

Whatever happens, thanks for the great 2012 moments.

Don, the Dynamo history of first legs in playoffs don't really bear out the "known" result of a tight tactical game the ends with no goals. Last year's Philly first leg was pretty open. 2006 at Chivas was pretty wild. Go back and look and the only real goal fiesta in a second leg was the Dallas game in 2007. I just think back to last year and RSL getting up 3-0 on Seattle at home in the first leg.

Yeah, the general notion of a road team is to get back home even and theoretically the advantage swings to them. But the intragame flow sometimes leads these games to become more open.

Ill Dom does not tend to pack it em on first legs. However, i cant remember a first leg with more goals than the 2d. Perhaps 06 v Chivas. 2-1 on the road if i remember right.

11 rsl v sea i look at as evidence of why road teams are stupid to play open games in the first leg.

We are Supporter Group members, hinchas, we are supposed to defend our colors in the bad and good against all odds. Yall are hanging out with the same ********ing pricks that go back home and insult our city, home, and team! If somebody disrespects you in your own house, do you welcome them?! An army that sleeps with the enemy isn't a ********ing army. I love yall to death. Most of y'all are my brothers but I will call out family when they're ********ing up!
