The more I read news and interviews about SKC's coach, the more realized how much of a beast Kinnear is. I think that CCL reffeing gave our players invaluable playoff training.

The Dynamo need to score a goal on KC to put a dagger in their heart.

I'm talkin' to you Big Mac.

I want to see Jimmy Nielson's Fat Tongue Horror Show wagging all around again!

I swear just before I read this this morning that I saw Ortiz tweet that he didn't train again today. But sometimes I get lost in tweets and it might have been yesterday's post.... You're positive he was there?

You're saying you believe Ortiz over HJ? Unlike Ortiz, I bet HJ was actually there to check on things and ask questions.

Ortiz just relies on press releases to do his 'job'

Jesus was indeed at training today, as was I. Taylor did participate in training and will travel to KC. Dom is taking an extra body just in case he is not ready tomorrow.

No, he does make it to the training sessions. Just about every day. I admire HJ but I've never seen him at a training session so I just wondered if he had heard the info second hand.

Be prepared for shock and awe-KC is going to unload on us the first 15 and the last 15. If we weather those storms we'll make it. I expect them to send a message in the first couple of minutes. Expect a very intense opening.
I really feel we play poorly when we bunker. I think we need to keep attacking and try to go up one. Then around the 70th minute we can go into bunker mode (3 goals should be enough in that case to do that). Any earlier can be fatal. It's just not in these guys' DNA to bunker and I think that is why we tend to fall asleep and let in late goals when we do. I think Dom knows that and will probably try to keep possession and go forward in an orderly manner.

I agree. It is hard to bunker for 90, that's a Bob Bradley tactic and chasing the ball all game tires guys out. I cam understand maybe bunkering for a half or 30 minutes, but I'm not sure MLS players have that kind if tactical discipline that you see out of squads in Europe.

I concur that a key is not giving away the margin in the first 15 minutes.

That said, up two goals you don't need to be foolish throwing numbers forward, so expect a KC edge in possession and a counter attacking game from the Dynamo.

I watched the game on tv (after being there live) with Vermes comments in mind and I really couldn't see it.

Yes, we were playing physical and not giving Sapong time on the ball without a bit of contact, but that isn't dirty or especially tactical it's good soccer. I'm sorry if he'd prefer we let his strikers receive the ball, square up and go at our defenders but that isn't really a great way to go about it.

From a team that has a thug like Collin on their backline I find a coach complaining about fouls humorous at best.

I'm convinced Vermes is playing the refs with his comment. It is the old adage of accuse your opponent of what your are doing.

Everything Vermes is whining about is exactly how SKC has played all year.

I tonight to be about the first goal. Not that the Dynamo will definitely lose if SKC scores the first -- the beauty of the two-goal lead is you do have room for error -- but if SKC scores first man it will get tense and intense. Should the Dynamo nip a goal a tough finish may be avoidable.

Vermes comments are laughable. He got out coached (again) by Dom and he is looking for excuses. If you want to talk about Reffing....I'm really not sure why Carr got a yellow other than Kei going into convulsions after falling down. I really thought we were about to see an ambulance on the field. After watching the foul at home....it was a foul, but I really didn't see a card there.

we will win this playoff because we have a veteran team who has been here before,,,because we will NOT be intimidated or thrown off our game and because we have the best coach in MLS.........

    Dynamo 2- KC. 1

we will clip them early on a counter attack. and Calen Carr will do the honors of driving the final nail into the Sporting KC coffin......

Ok, I'm offically worthless at work now! Does anyone think Dom should start Ching? Ching has done well as a super sub at the end of games, but I think his play could be used to settle the beginning of the game down when SKC is trying to go balls out. Hopefully by half time we are still 0-0 and you can bring in Carr off the bench to counter on a desparate team. if we can get to half time even, we have to take adavantage of the space our forwards will have.

Ching is a super-sub. I don't think he should start. He is better at closing out a game.
