As is tradition with the shitacular refs in our league. Boniek looks fine though which is good.

Woo good win, glad to see the team taking a 4-3-3 formation. Our defense, did ok minus that goal. Midfield did pretty well and Boniek did well also, hopefully they can keep it against Chicago. Vamos Dynamo!

Two games in a row with these wet behind the ear refs calling our games. WTF??? I liked the subs Dom used today. Ching looked much better off the bench. I'd keep this formation. Once Moffat comes back hopefully its to the bench with Ashe. His speed would serve us better in the second half off the bench. Ownby and Creavalle are getting more comfortable with the team. Hope to see more of em Tuesday.

I am going to say 3 things about tonight:

    1. When the hell did Luis Figo become a MLS Referee? I liked him better as a whiny biotch in the 2002 World Cup.

    2. Brian Ownby needs more time on the field, but please, make one move and then cross....not 4 moves and lose the ball

    3. When I have as many saves as Tally and more saves than MacMath, you know tonight was a craptacular night offensively.

Craptacular nights are SPECTACULAR nights when it is a win.

BTW, I responded to your Dynamo items up for sale, you NEVER RESPONDED back with a price.

a damn sight better than Ashe I can tell you that.

What kind of soccer brain does he have overlapping with 1 minute left then again 2 mins injury extra time

we are winning 2-1 we don't need to score again you moron

goal was down to him backing off 26 again when he had his back to goal more schoolboy errors

That top pic would make for a great billboard ad on the interstates coming in to Houston for road fans coming to a Dynamo game.

By the way, all of this proves I rock at reading players from training. Everybody here just mirrored what I said on Thursday to other peeps. He just needs more muscle so he doesn't risk getting injured so easily.

I didn't go the game so I have just watched the highlights a few minutes ago.

That initial 11 was quite interesting. I guess the 4-4-2 isn't as sacred as advertised.

Boniek... seems like a tru playa.

Ching scoring the winner, even if it's a PK (which he provoked), is what the doctor ordered. Nice!

I happened to stay home for this one, was Glenn and ERob with the call.

Overall a solid performance from the Orange, I'd like to see us score a second goal in the run of play but you take what you can get.

OBG did quite well for his first time out, he's got great presence on the ball and has a really nice touch with his weighted passes in particular. I'm very excited to see what he can do once he gets more familiar with the rest of the guys.

It's too bad so many people stayed at home. People complain about the heat, then it cools off and people don't go cause they're scared of the rain ( I guess). That whole section behind the east goal was empty it seemed. We should pack that place even in a monsoon. On tv it even looks emptier than it felt.

We all knew Boniek would be good, but it's really rare a guy can come in after barely even meeting his teammates and make such an impact over a full 90 minutes. His very last play of the game was not good (he let a ball go out when we were trying to maintain possession at the end) and he made one pretty bad defensive mistake in the box that didn't end up hurting. Other than that he was fantastic. There were long stretches, though, that we weren't getting the ball across to him. Instead for some reason we'd give it to Kandji who would always give it away.
I was afraid Boniek had hurt himself at the end, he tripped up over another player. It was after the last sub and Dom was frantically gesturing that there were no more subs and he would have to stay in. From what Ching said after the game, though, it sounded like a cramp, not an injury ("...we just need to keep him from cramping up...")

Completely agree on that overlapping run in stoppage time. I thought the EXACT same thing at the game - poor situational soccer, no need to expose the back at that time.
