Awww shit! There's a possibility DeRo might be suspended because he allegedly head butted Danny Cruz in a preseason match! http://sports.yahoo.com/news/kick-off-mls-commissioner-don-093923278--mls.html
I like DeRo as much as the next guy. But I'm not sure how you figure this is a bad thing! The only negative I see is that it will give DC fans more ammunition for their whining... "MLS hates us! We're better than the Dynamo but MLS gives our team too many cards and god sent a snowstorm, and the league injures our players, and we're not allowed to win! And Waaahhhh!"
IIRC, they had Karbach at the USA v. Canada match. St. Arnold's was also available at a few more concession stands (although I was having a really good time at that point, so I may be imaging that). Now I don't have to walk 10 sections over to get a hold of a craft brew this year.
It's only about a mile even if you go all the way to Navigation to get across the Union-Pacific rail lines. Shorter if you cut across but there are barriers in some places. I would not walk on Harrisburg. The construction has really messed up the sidewalks. Unless that has changed since I moved.
There wasn't any "alleged" about it, he did it. It was a stupid move on his part in a meaningless preseason game. But is it very common to punish a player for behavior in a different tournament?
Not with club teams. But if MLS doesn't do anything then they are sending a message that players can do whatever they want in preseason games. And suspending somebody for the following preseason isn't much of a punishment.
Guys, we've got a sick team. And when everyone gets healthy (Omar and Calen), we've got a sickER team. Just a reminder.
I'm worried about our thin striking core right now. We really need Omar and Calen as soon as possible.
Strikers? We don't need no stinking' strikers! We got OBG, Hotshot Hamish, Rico, Bb.com, and there is a persistent rumor that Corey Ashe is going to get a hat trick against both DCU and Santos!
I wonder if Dom would suit us just to provide a little depth at striker. I heard the old guy can still hack it like this guy did:
Don't really know - I've never been. I usually park under 59 and walk to the stadium so I imagine it can't be any different. Google maps says 15 min walk.
