Can any of the SG's confirm some Rico vs. Ruiz tifo for this game? Please for the love of God say "yes."
I can confirm that if I bump into Ruiz outside of the stadium, I will sneeze on him so he flops around on cement and gets some bad road rash.
So what are we predicting for the lineup in this game? I think Dom's definitely starting Barnes, and I think he said he also expects Corey to start. 4-4-2? : ........................Bruin........................Weaver???????????????? Davis....................Rico...................Barnes...................Boniek Ashe.................Taylor......................Boswell................Sarkodie OR 4-3-3: Dixon? / JJ?...................Bruin....................................Barnes Davis................................Rico.....................................Boniek Ashe.....................Taylor..............Boswell.................Sarkodie I'm thinking Dom will likely go with the 4-4-2, but the only problem is the forward pairing of Bruin and Weaver... We need some more speed up there, and I'd be tempted to go with the 4-3-3 lineup. ...And this has nothing to do with this thread, but does anybody have any clue when we should expect Driver to arrive?
I can't believe Cam Weaver is a potential starting forward for us right now...ughhhh. We need some speed!
No way weaver starts at the opener. He needs rest before he summons his messi like abilities for the CCL game against Santos
We win with that lineup. IMO Weaver gets a bad rep because he has never really played full time with a really good midfield. I'm not saying he's awesome, but I believe he's better than a lot of folks give him credit for being. He played most in 2010-2011 when Dom was fiddling with Cameron, Watson, Camargo, Cruz, Obodai etc. He's not the guy to pick up a ball at midfield, carry it into the box and score. Those midfielders weren't exactly tearing things up with positional play and precision passing. But with the four midfielders listed above he doesn't need to create his own chances. He needs to find position, play off of the rest of the team and finish when given a chance. I like Cam and I think our strong midfield will make him productive. (with one proviso...that he can figure out how to stop hitting the woodwork! Dude even hits the post during warm-ups! It's uncanny)
We could do a lot worse for a 3rd/4th forward than Weaver, especially for the money. I hope he lights up Santos for 3 and becomes a Mexican legend due to his CCL exploits. His perception will always suffer because we traded Wondo for him, which seemed even at the time.
DeRo and Olsen should be ashamed to be quoted in this story: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...ger-teach-uniteds-youngsters-tricks-his-trade The only thing Ruiz should be teaching anyone is how to use the metal stamping machine in license plate shop in prison. Did Olsen retire because of concussions? Because apparently he is suffering from dementia and massive memory loss. "I didn't even know that he had such a rep", has to be early contender for MLS Lie of the Year.
Pre-game Burritto at Burro's 6pm Saturday. Be there or be square. Remember -- the Dynamo have never lost after a pre-game Burrito at Burro's was consumed.
Beer drinking starts early in the parking lot on Saturday. Remember, the Dynamo have not lost at BBVA when beer drinking started early in the parking lot!
also a reminder that we lost an hour for the tailgating. luckily for me, my drive is an hour, so i'll be drinking early either way just so i'm the first to say it; "this is a must win game!"
i also want to know the answer, has anyone heard anything about him getting his visa and ITC? He should be in midseason form, so... ? i wouldn't be surprised if we line up in a 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 with bruin davis - barnes - boniek clark - moffat
I like that lineup. Much better than starting weaver up front. Damn, that lineup is really growing on me.
I predict a Cory Ashe hat trick (especially since he should have scored in the ECF) Noodle time will be back with a vengeance.
