true story- I was in Montreal back in '94 and went to McDonald's and tried to order in English. The cashier shook her head and tied to explain that she didn't understand me. After a couple of sighs and whines, she took my order-and spoke perfect English. I thought the French Canadians in general were pretty rude, then again it could it have been that I had a NY Rangers cap on too.

As for the French Canadians being rude, I remember speaking to another guy, I stated this and he explained, they knew were American-it would have been worse if you were Canadian. Keep in mind this was just prior to their last secession vote.

I was there in '97 and didn't have much trouble, but I studied French in high school, so I was usually able to recall a few words. I'd start out in my very bad French and then they'd just switch over to English once they figured out that their English would be better. That's pretty much also my experience in France itself. They give you some credit for trying to speak French, so it's not bad if you can start out with a few words.

Precisely my experience in both places as well. I can speak French conversationally; I would generally get the "head nod" for the effort. Oddly enough, several would switch to Spanish to help me out. I am Irish and Spanish was barely in my repertoire at the time. Not sure how my pale to red skin made them think oh, he must know Spanish.

wouldn't have helped me much-my French is horrible. I think my Flemish pronunciation is probably better than straight up French.

I took two years of French in college but mostly just squeeked by by writing Spanish but putting backwards accent marks and little curvy things under my C's. Apparently thats not the way it works. I thought I had a good accent though. I only used it once, I ran into some French tourists in San Antonio who couldn't speak English, but they couldn't understand a single French word I tried.

Wait, is he encouraging his fans to boo Ching? Not those horrible "US Rej.." chants again? If that is the case, I may donate $50 to the SGs to help build the biggest anty Marsch banner ever.

So far, for the most part, Montreal supporters have been cool. I want to like them. I think that Marsch and his vendetta against BC25 is going to hype a rivalry up. Marsch is d-bag who gambled and screwed Ching. Eff that guy.

Keep in mind that the Dynamo have NEVER WON as a franchise outside of the United States. I would bet on a tie on this one.

Dom will have them pushing for three points and have them ready to play and since they choked a FOR SURE three points at home, they need to win tonight and beat Philly at BBVA on the 30th because the July portion of the schedule is BRUTAL at the beginning of it.

The Dynamo are (5-4-5) because they are RANKED 12th in the league out of 19 in defense. VERY UNCHARACTERISTIC of Dominic Kinnear coached teams. Either that changes or we STRUGGLE to make the PLAYOFFS. You heard it here first.

The stadium is empty because it's the national holiday in Québec.
