Not bad first half, would like to see the side have more of the ball and create a little more but we have created a few good chances.

Defoe has been good I thought. When Defoe tried to put it though the keepers legs that was really the best thing he could do at angle the ball was coming I thought. And other than that is movement and such has been great, when it hit the post the keeper actually saved it, and defoe did well just to get a toe on it.

When Rey get's the all he just puts is head down and dribbles into a crowd, then gives the ball up to the nearest teammate when he runs into a wall of defenders, kind of annoying for me, and he had the best chance of the match and missed it well wide.

Looks like the weather's pretty good there, it's snowing on the east coast.

    Missed the game til now!

i see that we are up on one by Defoe, and just saw Dero nearly put us up two. Looking at the game stats, it looks similar to Seattle. We're getting dominated on possessions, but we're putting up way more shots and attempts?

I guess this counter attacking style is what Nelsen is going to run out for a while until the team gets more settled in.

How were Jermain and Gilberto? I was concerned about them and the cold.

Judging by the movement overlay, it looks like this week we really stuck to the middle of the pitch more than last week, attacking through the core. I like that as Bradley/Osorio are better than Jackson/Rey. Also Bloom/Orr basically stuck back to the box too, Morrow quite a bit up more forward (almost vertical from Rey), looks like we were using a 3-5-2.

This is what I want to see, 10 mins left 1-0 they have the ability to close this out and get all three points or concede a goal late and end up with a disappointing draw

Gilberto has looked very good in the time he was in. He made some very good runs with the ball, and made some good passes.

And Defoe? What else can you say? Three goals in two matches, gets a bevy of chances... he is everything he was advertised as being. MLS defenders and goalkeepers will have nightmares trying to stop him.

Liking what I'm seeing from Rey. And our two CBs seem solid. Henry has made a huge improvement. Good to see that. Bradley, likely best player to ever play in this league. We'll miss him in the summer. Defoe should break scoring records. Very few weaknesses to criticize.

    Wouldn't go that far lol

But yeah I can't complain at all today. Best BMO Field has looked in a while (except for the actual field of course). I think the RSL game will be much tougher, but we're 2-0 so everything is pretty sweet

Morrow has been a key addition. Rey and Gilberto were really good, I've especially got to hand it to Gilberto given the circumstances. Bradley's legend continues to grow with that challenge and head bandage. He's an exceptional talent of course but one of the fittest players I've ever seen, the guy is always running, his closing speed is ridiculous. He touched the ball absolutely everywhere on the field.

The pitch was actually atrocious from the get go and was, really, the worst performer of the day. When I saw it I tweeted "were the argos playing yesterday".....it was bumpy and very soft underfoot causing many players to lose their footing.

I wouldn't call myself a TFC fan, as I grew up in LA and live in Philly, but the team you guys have put together is really fun to watch. As much as everyone touts Defoe for his goals, which have been great, you guys got a real boss in the midfield in Bradley. More so in this game than vs Seattle, Bradley just dominated. It seems like he almost always chooses the right pass to relieve pressure, whether it's spraying balls wide to switch the field or playing it through the channels negate the previously mentioned switches. Man, you guys are lucky. You have a hell of a player. Hold on to him.

Great on the counter but one thing is for sure our team cannot maintain possesion. Besides Bradley just about every player has one of two problems:
    A) They want to do everything ....besides pass to an open man (Jackson, Rey)
    B) They are so nervous they just want to hoof the ball down field instead of pass to an open man (Our entire back line)

DCU had the ball the majority of the game dictating the play while our players basically left it all up to Bradley and the forwards. Unless the ball got to Rey or Jackson who for whatever reason want to beat everyone and have no problems failing at that over and over.

It's a work in progress. I was hoping they would not be under the same pressure Seattle put them through in the final 10 minutes. I'll take the 3 points but looking at our next 2 opponents if we don't start more team play from anyone not named Bradley, I doubt if counters will be enough to get points.

I think I will stand on my statement that they will be .500 after 10 games.
