If the team goes to work and respects DC this one could be over at half. Hopefully they are focussed and don't go into the game still celebrating the Sounders win.
How's DC looking this year? They were horrible last year, but did they make some good pick ups in the off season?
Well, a 3-0 defeat at home to Columbus last week certainly doesn't help, that's for sure. Like TFC, D.C. may need some time to jell as a team.
High of 2 - have to hope the snow comes well before or after the game - hopefully it doesn't end up as rain
I feel like DC could shock us in this on and beat us. We were promising but not great against seattle
Hey guys, so for the supporters coming out on saturday, we should try to start chanting on the 17th minute for Defoe. HEY HO DE-FOE! a la Blitzkrieg bop, by the ramones.
It's too early in the season to really know what form the teams are in but this is a game that TFC should win. We're at home against a team that did poorly last year and, although they made a lot of changes, DC's changes weren't at the same level as TFC's. The fact that both teams still need to gel is the fly in the ointment. TFC has more talent but will they play with sufficient team cohesion to make that count? This will be a good early season indicator as to whether TFC is going to come together quickly, live up to its potential, and make a lot of noise this season or come together more slowly and take half a year to start showing the level of talent they actually have. Being optimistic, I say 2-1 TFC with some very vocal fan support.

Now there looks to be a high of +5 tomorrow. We're supposed to get snow, but overnight tonight, so it should be taken care of by game time. Looking at the next few games coming up, this one has to be one of the more winable opportunities.
OK, first, the good news - Gilberto could be in the lineup for tomorrow. The bad news - the pitch. It's gonna take another beating, given that 5 cm of snow is expected. http://www.tsn.ca/soccer/story/?id=446928
I've had a weird feeling this past few days. A feeling I haven't had since about 2008...I'm actually looking forward to a TFC game.
Hmmm. All things considered, the pitch looks to be in reasonable shape (thanx @LukeWileman ): Of course, I could be wrong there...
OK, here's TFC's starting XI (now sponsored by Expedia.ca ): On the bench: Bendik, Orr, Hagglund, Morgan, Bekker, Wiedeman, De Rosario.
Gotta like gilberto starting. 3 dps on the field. Dero an off-the bench option. Surprised they went with bloom over orr though
Seen on the rotating ad boards: "best of luck defoe. From your friends at tottenham hotspur" Now that's class
We look good on the counter attack but we not really controlling the game and ball like I thought we would before the game
